“Sensational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

We had the 6 course menu on Christmas Day at the MGM. Sensational! The service is exceptional and food was mind blowing. Interior is delightful. Bread trolley to die for and sweet trolley which was even better. Cannot find anything bad to say at all. They even do a vegi menu (unheard of for the French).

“Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

We have done the 16 course dinner and were occasional guests of JR in New York City so dinner tonight was the two course meal in the townhouse and it was great. $169/person translates to $500 when it's all said and done (2 people, no wine.....Dale drinks vodka). I had the egg thing and then duck. Dale had fois gras and then blackened cod. Of course, there are loads of things along the way but servers are terrific and it's 2 hours well spent.

And then, when you walk out into the MGM Grand Casino it's surreal. Ugh.

“Definitely a dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

My honey and i were staying in the mansions so it was the perfect and most convenient place to dine. Ive dined here several times before and let me tell you that every time has been superb. The food and the service is top notch. The experience is the multi course and wine pairing, so just go for it and enjoy.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Conclusion first: amazing
FYI: when making reservation ask for the complimentary golden limo service - not every gets it I guess but if u do the experience is superior! We had 17 courses with accommodation for special allergy - very well done
Food was main event and very balanced and thoughtful over all most dishes amazing only disappointment was mushroom trio course -
Also remember to add the soufflé as it was not included in the 16 course meal !
Service in the main room superior attention to details with no overbearing and rush
In summary wow!

“Great food, but Michelin disappointment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012 via mobile

Normally, I would rate the food portion of this restaurant five stars, but at a restaurant such as this, it is the whole experience that counts. The restaurant itself is beautifully done, very luxurious and classic. There is a "garden" room adjacent to the main dining room that, while pleasant, does not have the same feel. They initially tried to seat us in this room while the main room was near empty, however, we requested to be in the main room which was honored. The lighting and music were soft and pleasant- appropriate for this experience. First, the good. We ordered the 12 course degustation menu. The execution, presentation, and taste of the dishes were par none. The preparations were unique, interesting, and most of all just delicious. The bread and petit four carts were works of art and had multiple selections of delicious items. As a nice touch, we were given a small cake for our anniversary. At the end of the meal, we were presented with copies of our menus, chocolate, and a photobook momento. In short, one of the better dining experiences food-wise in the US. One disappointment however was the non-enforcement of a dress code. While most of the clientele were dressed semi-formally, there were several customers barely dressed well enough for the local pub. There really is no excuse for this especially when there is a more casual associated restaurant next door. Now, where this restaurant fell short, was the service. While pleasant enough, it was merely adequate. At a three star Michelin chef's restaurant, I would expect white glove service. While I dislike wait staff hanging over you, I do expect them to be observant and attentive enough to service our needs without me having to ask. This occurred far to often this evening. The rhythm was definitely off as sometimes there was too much of a lull between courses, and the synchronicity and coordination of the presentation were not quite right. We have definitely received better service at other restaurants and even at this one in prior visits. That being said, don't let my service criticism dissuade you from trying this wonderful food experience, just don't expect total first class service. I assume Mr. Robuchon and his GM will correct this deficiency because this truly is a special restaurant.
