“Away from the strip.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

This was a good hotel/casino to stay at if you are tired of the strip! The rooms were dated but large and clean, a good selection of specialty restaurants and a very good Spa. The wife and I stayed for 3 days and enjoyed every minute of it! The bowling alley and the movie theater located in the hotel were great and served as a break from the casinos. ( I never win anything at casinos ) I would highly recommend this hotel/ casino.

The room was spacious, but forniture were old. I had to bring my luggage to my room because nobody c'è to pick them up. I could here noise come from adjacent room.
I would accept this from a three stars but not from a four stars hotel.
Anyway the price was good.

I like this hotel. It's on LV Boulevard but more south and not so crowded. Use this hotel when I arrvie in Vegas and drive to the NP next morning. It's located next to the Interstate 15 @ Silverado.
Never had a bad experience here.

a nice hotel to stay in Las Vegas, the rate is low in comparison with the amenities and size of the room. There are 2 king size bed in the room for a rate of ~$50/night. It is not at the Strip but going to Strip will only take you about 15~20mins by driving so not so bad for a cheap stay. It is normal to have casino at the ground floor, it has a pool too. The cons is the WiFi at the room is not free and have to pay about $20/day. Though the WiFi is free at the ground floor. Overall stay is pleasant and I recommend this hotel in Vegas. When we go back to Vegas, this is the hotel that most likely to stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time and we will definately stay again. You really can't ask for more. South Point offered a great deal for the PBR World Finals. When we arrived it was easy and friendly check in. The rooms are pretty good size and clean. They have several dining areas and several bars within the casino so it doesn't seem overly crowded. The pool area is nice. They have a gift shop/party store that sells everything from gifts to liquors and beer for a great price. It has a bowling alley and movie theatre. The equestrian center that had events everyday. Prices for dining and drinks throughout are reasonably priced. Not like hotels on the strip. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to and from the strip for cheap. So if you want to get your Vegas Strip fix but don't want to stay down there it is a great option. Next time we will probably bring our 11 year old daughter along and friends with teenage kids as well. Alot more things for kids to do at South Point. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms at this hotel. They were very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was big and the toilet was in a separate room with the shower. They have a huge bowling alley that has really good prices and a movie theater also. Good food options also. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

We (my brother and I) have been staying here for the past 2 years. this was our fifth visit. We arrivied on Oct. 20th, 2012. Sunday morning breakfast the service was horrible. Buffet breakfast Monday good service, Tuesday sucked,Wednesday sucked, Thursday ok, Friday sucked. Tuesday night early Wednesday morning - fire alarm goes off at 3:22am, alarm stops at 3:35am, false alarm go back to bed. At 4:05 am alarm sounds again this time it continues for over 2 hours. Its still a false alarm but you cant sleep through it. When we checked out on Friday the 26th they said they couldn't do anything for us. My brother proceeded to become irrate so they gave us one nights stay for free. But he said they were very upset to do that.

Room Tip: Lower floors can be evacuated easier than higher ones.
