I made my bookings for a king in a supierior room at the Green Valley Ranch for my honeymoon and arrived with:

1. Im sorry sir, but we have no rooms left except a double room.
2. Im sorry sir, but the pool is closed for a private function.

I said I did not want to stay here with the pool closed and in a double room when I asked and reserved a king. They lady at the front desk said I would not be charged. Well of course I looked at my credit card statement today and they charged me. I have been trying to reach Accounting at 7----------2 for the last week with no return call. Lets not forget I lost $25 for a cab to get there and another $25 to leave the hotel. I do have some good news to report I stayed at the Wynn on the strip for $20 less then the Green Valley Ranch and I'm now a big fan of the Wynn Resort.

We stayed here for five nights September 09. We had visited this hotel/casino on a few occasions on previous visits to Las Vegas and thought we would spend some time here on our next visit.
We had earlier spent 5 nights at The Bellagio prior to our stay here and thought that hey if it was even just half as good as what The Bellagio was then we would be delighted.
I must say the hotel was superb !!!!! It is around 11 miles from the LV Strip but the freeway made it seem a lot closer. We were given a superior room which looked over the pool area however the view was partly hindered by the palm tree branches. The room was very large and the bed was so comfortable and soft. We had the best sleep of our holidays here, infact you could actually buy one of the beds for your own home however getting it to England was the hardest part. The design , architecture, plushness and cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic. There was no noise at all from the hallways, you could hear the music from the pool but it was never on that late to cause a nuisence.
The pool area is fantastic, there are loads of loungers and parasols at your disposal , the jacuzzi was so relaxing and the main pool has a beach with sand so far into the pool. The waitresses were always around to take your requests for drinks/food.
We really only ate at the buffet or cafe and they were of excellent quality, the staff were always of a pleasant nature.
One thing that was not to our liking was the casino It was very very tight. Most of the time it was quiet however on the weekend it was packed mainly with locals and some rather decidedly dodgy looking characters, perhaps it was me but there seemed a better type of clientele at some of the other casinos in Las Vegas.
The valet was exceptional when we arrived and during the time we stayed there however when we were leaving they didnt really want to know.
Overall we fully enjoyed our stay and will be back next year, try it you wont be dissapointed !

Did a 3 nite stay at resort. Grounds were very clean and not real smokey. Hotel room in west tower recently renovated and worth the money. Shuttle service from airport was timely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spa facility was above avg. with steam sauna and heated lap pool. Food within complex was not very good and pricey except for the buffet which always had a line. Walk over to "District" has nice rest. and shopping. Casino was light on staff so service was slow but machines paid to keep it interesting. Overall, I would recommend it as an alternative to the Strip.

A nice hotel and area. Some of the dealers that work during the evening are really not very pleasant. For the money, you are probably better off staying at the SouthPoint, the employees are a lot friendlier, the casino is a lot friendlier, and there is more to do. But, if you really like the "lodgey" look, then you might want to stay at the Silverton. Both of these places are off the strip.
