“Calm haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We were here midweek when it wasn't so busy, and it was lovely to enjoy the fun and glitz of the strip but then escape back to our calm haven in our hotel. Service was great, rooms, facilities and dining all top notch. Beautiful touches throughout made for some gorgeous photos!

My wife & I really liked it. The room was very nice, a lot larger than what we expected. We really liked its location. To us, there are several reasons that we did not give it “5-Star”, because there are several “hidden” charges and other items that we didn’t like. For Example: (1) the $25 per night + tax added at the checkout, why they just don’t add it to the room nightly fees??? Supposedly this covers for internet and fitness center??? (2) We requested to be on the upper floors, they assigned us on 14 floor, We were told that if we wanted a room above the 27th floor then there is $20 per night + tax!!!! Again we were not aware of this and you will not see it on their web site. So they gave us a room on the 22nd floor, which was really good. (3) The room was very nice but it didn’t have a coffee machine!! We like to drink coffee and tea. But the bathroom has a very nice digital-glass “Scale”….If you’re going on vacation, especially in Vegas, who cares about the scale??? “The Café” is expensive, so we found Starbucks across the road (4) The room has a minibar/minifridge that is full of stuff. It’s so full that it does not have room for a small can and on top of the minibar, there is a “Threatening” note that it says if you alter or replace items inside the minibar it will result in a $25 personal use fee??? WHAT??? Why do you put a minifridge if your customer cannot use. (5) A round of golf starts at $300 per person, WOW?? (6) The Ferrari show room is $10 per person (its free if you are Ferrari or Maserati owner), WHAT???? Overall, since now we know about all these hidden charges/fees, I would say “yes” we would stay there again. But most of the time, my wife & I would like to change thing, so we would stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: try to get a room above the 20th floor, facing the strip, the night lights are great

My wife and I decided to splurge and recently spent a 3 night weekend at Wynn. Gorgeous, immaculate property. Not too big, easy to navigate. We had a standard king room that was very spacious. There is a small couch and also a café type table, as well. View of the strip was nice, although we were not that high up. Noise was not a problem. Pool area was gorgeous, nicely landscaped, and music was at an appropriate volume. We spent a lot of time at the European pool as it had more of a party vibe to it and, obviously, no kids. This pool attracts a more mature crowd versus the 20 somethings that you see at other hotels. Very comfortable and relaxing. Service was good. Drinks expensive, as expected. We felt the tropical drinks were a bit overpriced. Bucket of 5 beers was $35. Had breakfast at the Terrace one day. Great environment, food was good. Again, expensive, but expected. The location of the hotel is nice as there is an upscale mall directly across the street that has a food court which enabled us to save a few bucks on breakfast and lunch. Great mall for shopping. Only negative is having to pay resort fees. My understanding is that use of the pool is included in your rate. Having a 25/day fee for wireless and health club use is absurd, but you know that going into the trip. The workout room should just charge a daily fee and wireless should be included in you rate. The location of this hotel eliminates the throngs of tourists and riff raff from loitering in the casino and lobby as you see around other parts of the strip. We will return to this property when we visit Vegas again. Top notch.

Just back from this wonderful hotel had a 60th floor king looking over the strip what a view Treasure island and the Mirage were tiny compared to the Wynn.It was worth the bit extra for the view. The room was big modern and clean. The best part of the stay was the ambiance in the casino there was just a good buzz all around the drinks flowed and was quick you ask for grey goose and that's what you got.lovely.check in was quick and so was check out,use your red card to pay for some of those room bills i got a lovely surprise $400 knocked off the bill sorted.hope you all have a great stay. Dont listen to people saying it is out the way it is not 10min walk to the center.

Room Tip: I have only stayed on the 60th strip facing and it was perfect

This hotel did not disappoint. When we arrived, we missed our turn into the valet so we ended up self parking. The parking garage is close to the elevators than the valet so we ended up self parking the whole stay. The room was big, huge and we got the view of the golf course. I don't play golf but what a wonderful picture it made. Martin checked us in and he had us cracking up from the second we stepped up to his window. It was very hot and we were tired from travelling all day so it really made our check in enjoyable. We ate at a few of their casual dining restaurants and of course the buffet. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The golf course view higher than floor 18 is the best. We stayed on the 18th floor and could hear th...

The Wynn is a lovely hotel with spacious, well furnished rooms. The staff were polite and friendly at all times. The 24 hour Cafe near the lifts is an absolute boon. During the week it is very busy with business conferences and at the weekend it is a big attraction for the short break and wedding parties. So it can be very crowded at times. The pool area is slightly smaller than a lot of Vegas hotels but it does have a really excellent poolside Cafe, the Cafe Pointe. The Casino area was being refurbished during our stay, but was always busy, and the hotels scarlet and gold colour schemes give it a warm friendly look. I loved the chocolate and gold carpets and decor in the room corridors. Niggles? Yes, two for me. A lack of seating on the long shopping Malls. Weary shoppers, especially the older ones, deserve a brief rest from time to time and I do not understand why there is a complete lack of sun umbrellas in the swimming pool area. In temperatures of plus 40 C, people were desperately seeking shade. Scores of sunbeds were vacant because they had no cover. Very few people were laying out in that heat !

Room Tip: The hotel has a nightclub, The Tryst, open Thurs, Fri and Sat until 4am. It has an outside Terrace...

I recently stayed here for a work conference. The hotel was very classy and the room were large and very nice. I am in my mid 30's and the crowd here was a little older, 40's-60's, during the week, the younger crowd arrived on Friday. I enjoyed the Terrace Pointe Cafe and Society Cafe for breakfast/lunch. Andreas was great for dinner.
