My husband and I just returned from a mid-week trip to Las Vegas in which we stayed at the Wynn. Overall, we felt the Wynn was excellent. Despite the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor around consistency of service, we felt the service, rooms, and food was consistently excellent within the hotel for the entire trip. For such a large hotel, the service was quite personal in nature. The Concierge went the extra mile for us in assisting us with show tickets, printing boarding passes, and making shopping referrals. In the restaurants, the waitresses remembered us on multiple occasions during our visits. The restaurant staff was very attentive to our needs and they went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent in each restaurant we ate in. The food was very fresh with high quality ingredients. The food was a little on the pricey side but overall very good. At check-in, we were upgraded to a Premium View Room (room on highest floors - we were on floor 52) in which the views of Las Vegas were incredible. The floor to ceiling windows give the rooms a spacious feel with wonderful views. In addition, the rooms were very nicely equipped. The beds were comfortable, bathroom very spacious with all necessary amenities, and the rooms had flat screen plasma TV's mounted on the wall. The maid service was great. They serviced the rooms twice daily and did so in a very discreet manner that you hardly realized they were there. The hotel is nicely designed in that the focus is not purely on the casino. There is a separate entrance (Tower Entrance) in which you can enter the hotel without having to walk thru the entire casino. Also, all rooms have a mini-bar which some Las Vegas hotels do not have in order to lure you to the casino tables. You can the views and have a drink in the privacy of your room without having to use room service or go to the casino. The hotel's casino area is also not that large so for those of you that want a vacation in Vegas without a focus entirely on gambling, this hotel is great. We also enjoyed the spa one day and did the couples hot stone massage. The spa is excellent but more expensive than what I am used to paying but worth a splurge if you are there to relax. The pool is good but probably not the best in Vegas. There are cabanas to rent located poolside for privacy and there is only one hot tub. There is also a casino located out by the pool and an area for European style sunbathing (topless). The Wynn is also conveniently located across the street from the Fashion Show mall. If you want a high end, luxury Las Vegas visit, you can't go wrong with the Wynn. I would highly recommend and plan to go back for my next trip to Vegas.
