Thank you for your lovely review of our resort! The Grandview at Las Vegas Resort features A & B suites that have a common foyer with separate locks for each suite. These rooms can be rented separately depending on availability and price but this unique combination is very popular with timeshare owners and guests alike because it offers luxurious accommodations with maximum privacy for large parties. We’re happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to your next visit!

“Off the Strip but Definitely Worth a Stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

The Grandview at Las Vegas is a well maintained, large hi-rise complex with free parking. The units are clean and nicely furnished. We requested a double unit which is essentially two 1 bedroom condos set up through a split common entry door. The bedrooms have king size beds and each unit has a sofabed. If privacy is desired each condo can be closed or locked off from the other. Both units had a full kitchen, living room, master bedroom, bathroom and a large jetted bathtub off the master bedroom. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit which we definitely used since we were in town for an ice hockey tournament. Parking at the Grandview is free. Our only disappointment was that wireless access is not free in the guest rooms. We purchased the “code” but still found that we were limited with the number of devices we could actually connect.

SouthPoint Casino is within walking distance across a small street. We enjoyed breakfast there one morning, pricey but good. The Grandview is located about 10-15 minutes south of the main strip (depending on traffic) but we found it was quite nice to get away from all the crowds and commotion. We had a rental car but without one it might be inconvenient or pricey to get around. You can drive straight down Las Vegas Blvd. and eventually get to the strip but the freeway (I-15) is right around the corner which made it more direct and easy to get places. Outlet stores, Walmart and a supermarket are also nearby so it was easy to pick up a few things for breakfast and snacks.

Overall we enjoyed our time at The Grandview at Las Vegas. For us our trip was cut a little short due to flight problems related to Hurricane Sandy but we really enjoyed getting away and actually having electricity again!

“2 top end condos = 2 bedroom”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We originally thinking there would be 4 of us ladies to share but wound up with only 2 of us able to make it. We entered the suites opening the door ino a foyer which opened into 2 attached condos with granite countertops, clean beautiful double sink granit countertop bathrooms, full living room and each with it's own spacious bedroom with adjoining jacuzzi.

We had a rental car as we did some serious himing alternating with shopping day trips only to end up each night somewhere fascinating on the strip. Make sure you try out Freemont street, the 'oginal' strip where we seemed to have endless free drinks and were lucky enough to win some dish on the sexy blackjack tables. The RCI Grandview staff also have a courtesy shuttle and they didn't try to sell us anything. I would stay hear agin in a heartbeat. Cn't wait to return to Vegas!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in one of the newly renovated tours.

“Nice Hotel next to SouthPoint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We go to Las Vegas a couple times a year. Over the past few years, we found it very beneficial to rent a car. It provides us the flexibility to see much more of Vegas and almost everywhere as parking available. This year we decided to stay off the strip a little at the Grandview Hotel adjacent to the South Point Casino.

The Grandview has large apartent style suites that are nicely furnished. All rooms have a full kitchen, living room, master bedroom and bathroon with a large jetted bathtub. It is set up that there is a separate common entry if you wanted two units. The complex is large with workout areas and pools\hottubs through out the facility. Parking is free.

Free internet is available at the business center near the lobby with about ten computers available. Coffee is also provided at the center. We heard from others that the fee wireless internet at the room was very slow. Shuttles are available to go to the strip but I would rent a car. The staff was friendly and professional. We were invited for a timeshare presentation and breakfast but were not strongly pressured.

The SouthPoint is adjacent and you can walk there. It is a very nice casino with low limits and a variety of food establishments. It has a nice spa, theater, and bowling alley. We really has fun at the Sports Book watching college football. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the strip and is close to the outlets stores and Town Center shopping. We had alot of fun and will likely go there again.

Room Tip: We ate at SouthPoint. You may want to bring a night eye mask to sleep longer as light comes in the r...

“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

My husband and I are timeshare owners at the Grandview, and this was our first time staying there. We had already done the presentation tour the year before, and we were not misled about the value of ownership. We wanted to be staying off the Strip, but close enough to visit conveniently.
The Grandview is off the Strip by about 7 miles and directly across the street from the SouthPoint Hotel/casino. There are shops, banks and restaurants all within a mile or so of the Grandview, so if you need anything, it's fairly easy to get. Having a car makes it a lot easier too.
I had done my research before making our reservation, and made my requests accordingly. The average daytime high was 111 f (!) the week we were there, and so construction on the new buildings started at something like 2am. I'm a light sleeper, and so requested a room as far away from the construction and as high up as possible. I knew this would place us in one of the older buildings, but that was fine. We were placed in the building framing the main pool area close to South Point: I believe it was Rosemary. It was very, very nice!
The furniture showed a little wear and the shower needed some maintenance, but other than that, it was fabulous! Nice big kitchen, dining area adjoining a living room, huge king bedroom with a jacuzzi tub in an area separating the bedroom from the spacious bathroom. Double sink vanity, tile floor and plenty of storage space.
The kitchen has dish and cutlery sets for 4, so bring your own if you are planning on feeding more than that. The kitchen is fully equipped and very roomy. There is a small, stacked washer/dryer and detergent was provided.
There were two tv's (not flatscreens); one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. As this was an older building, we were not really surprised to find older appliances and furniture. As I said, though, it was all perfectly serviceable. The air conditioning worked perfectly...you would never know it was so hot outside. I have seen a couple of reviews where people mentioned the rooms not being dark enough, and I don't understand that. There are wooden plantation shutters as well as blinds on all the windows, and we were able to make the rooms very dark.
The only sound we heard from other rooms, was the jacuzzi tub being used after hours by our upstairs, and thoughtless, neighbors. There are signs posted next to the tubs requesting consideration and to not use the tub after 10:30. Thankfully we only heard the noise two nights.
As we are owners, we were able to request a wi-fi code and use it all week.
It was too hot to go to the pool during the day, so we went at 9pm. It was lovely. There are plenty of lounge chairs and towels provided, and the area itself is very secure, needing your room key to access.
There did only appear to be one luggage cart per building, and I wish Grandview would remedy that. Guests are toting groceries and luggage for a week, and the fewer trips they have to make from car to room, the better.
The customer service was awesome, from the phone calls I made with specific requests, to the in-person service onsite. Gold star to the Grandview staff!
There are no restaurants onsite, because the expectation is that you'll be cooking in your suite, or going elsewhere. The buffet at the South Point was excellent.
We went to the Strip a couple of times, and were always so happy to get back "home" to our quiet, cool comfortable suite at the Grandview. I can't wait to return!!

Room Tip: Do your research and plan accordingly...
