“Excellent food, great service, nice experience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Roy's is not located in the strip, however is a very nice place to visit in order to have a more private and romantic dinner. The staff was friendly, and we got accommodated very quick (w/o reservation!) Valet parking was available! The appetizer sampler was excellent, and sushi was nice. Dessert awesome. The portions were not huge, however we were satisfied. Prices range from: $15-$50 per person.

Reservations recommended. (It good packed after 6:00pm)
Noise level: moderate
Staff: knowledgeable, and friendly
Bathrooms: clean
Handicapped: accesible
Credit and debit: accepted

Conclusion: Recommended.

“Phenomenal Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we recently celebrated my son's 25th birthday at Roy's after reading the other Tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant lived up to all the reviews and then some. The food was fantastic and well presented and the service was impeccable and very friendly. The waiter was very knowledgeable about all of the menu choices and his recommendations were spot on. I will definitely plan to return to Roy's the next time we are in Vegas.

“Expected a more memorable taste experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We chose Roy's for a special dinner based on it's #1 trip advisor rating. Needless to say, our expectations were high. The decor and ambiance was lovely (although the room was chilly), and the service was very good (although the waiter did forget to bring my second martini). The food was well cooked and well presented. What was missing for us were those memorable, plate licking, scrumptious tastes that should be present in the # 1 ranked restaurant. The canoe appetizer was good, but once again, I cannot recall the flavors. In my seafood plate with risotto, I really could not identify the flavor of the risotto, nor was it anything special. My daughter-in-law ordered the filet mignon, but does not like seafood, so had to request they leave off the lobster sauce. The end result, of course, was something very ordinary in taste. The lobster tails were the tiniest we have ever seen. My son was still hungry after consuming his meal. I checked the menu on-line before we made our reservation, but I'm pretty sure it was not the same as the one in the restaurant; at least the filet mignon listed was different. I think it is important to always have a few pure "land" meal choices for people who cannot eat seafood. All in all, we ate everything (we went with great appetites), but were not thrilled with the tastes or portions of our various meals, so will not return.

“Great meal - thank you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Really nice meal - we turned up at 6.30 without a reservation, but they accommodated us no trouble. Nathan's service and recommendations were first class. Never had Hawaiian fusion before but it was delicious, and the pineapple upside-down cake was a thing of wonder.
