“Not The Experience We Expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

First, the location in the Grand Canal Shoppes is great. If you can get a canal side seat, you will be able to see the touristy gondolas go by. Certainly, not Venice by any means, but still rather enchanting in a gimmick way.

We did not have a dinner reservation, but we were seated right away.

Our waitress was right there offering chips, salsa and guacamole as a starter. Do not think that they are complimentary, because they are NOT. In my opinion, they should not be doing that as most folks think they are free.

All tourists here, alot with children. Certainly not a place to relax and dine. The floor was very dirty. This is a high turnover type of place. Alot of uncleared dishes/glasses on left tables too.

House wine was from Chile and quite good. We ordered the taco and enhiladas platters. The food was very good but neither of our plates were really hot. The rice was tasty with cilantro in it. Ample portions. Not heavy, fried Mexican food but rather more baja style.

Our waitress never came back to check on us and the bill was brought out while we were still eating. Like I said before...this is a high turnover type of place.

We enjoyed it and are glad we went, but we will not go back. Just average in our opinion.

“Good food but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

The Mexican food here is quite good, but it's pricey (given how much you might pay at a "real" Mexican restaurant). Also, the setting is tremendously cheesey next to the fake canal in the Venetian where young people with talent (the "gondoliers" who often sing quite beautifully) are probably paid minium wage to row chubby tourists up and down these faux waterways. If you can get past all of this, you'll probably enjoy the meal.

“Great mexican food on the canal in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

This is the best mexican food and margaritas in Venice. It is located next to the canals in Venetian Hotel. The food is really good and the atmosphere is great next to the canal and singing gondola drivers.

They have a great happy hour too starting at 3pm.

I eat hear everytime I come to Las Vegas, no matter where I stay.
