We are from the UK and we got married in Las Vegas we went to Vegas with friends and family 6 in all. We hadnt booked anywhere for the meal after the Wedding but had heard that there was a good Steakhouse in New York New York. Well we got dropped off there after the Wedding and it wasnt open until 4 pm so we had a drink in one of the bars there. At 4 we went to Gallaghers where we were met by Sam and I said we had just got married, perhaps he might have already guessed long dresses, men in DJ's and me carrying flowers, I hadnt realised it was going to be like an America Diner and said oh I didnt realise the seating would be like this in like a booth. Well the wonderful Sam said give me 10 mins and lets get you a drink from the Bar. Well I instantly felt all relaxed we were now in the safe hands of Sam. In the meantime 2 lovely ladies came over telling us how lovely we all looked and that one of their grandparents had met each other at a place in the UK called Burtonwood Army Base, well would you believe it our house is built on the old land of Burtonwood, so they werre quite excited about our connections. They very kindly sent over 2 bottles of Zinfandel. Sam came back 10 mins later as promised and said follow me, well we couldnt believe it he took us through to the back there there were 2 Chefs and a table beautifully laid for us the wine was already in buckets waiting for us to sit down. Well I cannot tell you how fabulous a meal it was and Sam so attentive and catering to our every need. My brother chatted away to him about Old Vegas when the Rat Pack used to walk the Strip. My brother who is now nearly 80 was loving it all. I have read recent reviews and it looks like Sam is still there, no doubt being the great host he was for us on a very important day. We still talk about our great Wedding Reception at Gallaghers and we are off to Vegas in May and will no doubt pop into Gallaghers and see if Sam is indeed still there and hopefully have a meal and enjoy it just as much as the last time we were there.
On the reviews it does say it is worth booking, and one tip I picked up was 1 steak will serve 2, as we did all struggle to finish and I must admit gave up when there was still quite a lot left, and the side orders would do for 2 as well. Five of us gave up and the lads were slackening off their belts but Dave one of our friends was determined not to give up and well and truly cleared his plate.
Roll on May when we will be going again and hopefully see Sam and it will bring back wonderful memories of our Wedding in Vegas.
