“Good pasta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Ate lunch here. Was entertained by the performers in the square. As close as your going to get to eating in a sidewalk cafe in Venice.

“Overpriced and the food was not that good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

The calamari was rubbery (one of the worst I’ve ever had). The table bread was really hard. My salmon was ok, but the Yukon potatoes were dry. Perhaps they were having an off day, but I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my friends.

“Mezza Mezza”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Given the premium prices, the value was average as the food was good and service was inattentive. The ambiance was nice, looking out at the replica of St. Mark's Square with lighting that adjusts for the time of day, it did transport you to Venice. The terrace area was loud however, given the acoustics in this active space. I was especailly disappointed in the bread, since Il Fornaio restaurants used to win awards for their bread and the bread we were served was not fresh. The seasonal pasta dish with mushrooms was very good, however the caprese and other entree were unremarkable. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

“Excellent as always!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Yes, I agree, Canaletto is slow, but their food is VERY good! Pastas are fantastic, and wine list by the glass of by the bottle is fantastic. If you want a tried and tested dinner spot at Venetian, this is it!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Six of us dined here for dinner. I made my reservations ahead of time on Opentable and the hostess honored my request to sit inside (vs outside). Our waiter was excellent and the food was really good. Portions were generous and the prices reasonable for Vegas. The pasta is made in house or imported from Italy. Even the wine list had reasonably priced bottles (ours was $35). We would definitely dine here again.
