We were on our way to the airport in Vegas, first time in forever that our plane left at a normal hour and we didn't have to rush.. so instead of messing up the kitchen again we stopped for breakfast at Eat.
It was really good..
Charity, our server, was one of the best servers anywhere.. and when I say anywhere I mean anywhere.. (We have eaten all over the world!) She was cheerful, professional and fun all rolled into one.
We got seated right away, coffee (which was really strong, hot and good) came right away, The coffee was so perfectly strong that the half and half we got barely changed the color and we were happy! Charity asked if we would like water... and so we got that too... coffee kept coming and we were happy about that.
I ordered the eggs benedict without meat and the mexican scramble stuff... can't remember what it was called.
The hollandaise sauce was light with just the right hint of lemon.. there was spinach and tomato on, I believe, a whole wheat english muffin. it came with potatoes.. which were Ok..
We kept watching the pancakes go by and kick ourselves for not taking them.. and they have BEIGNETS!!!!! OMG!!! We saw them come out and couldn't believe how good they looked.. they come with vanilla flavored mascarpone cheese.. How yummy must that be..and we aren't in New Orleans either!
The neighborhood isn't the greatest in the world.. It is downtown obviously... but once you walk in, it's a hip little (not so little) place.
Next time and there will be a few next times.. Pancakes and Beignets.... To the GYM I go!!!!
