My GPS sent us in the wrong direction so when we entered the lovely blue and white dining room, we were famished! I immediately ordered saganaki, knowing it was a quick appetizer. Well, not here. It had to have been 20 minutes, even after a couple of nods from our waitress that indicated to us, that it was coming. It was good, when it DID arrive. They forgo the use of alcohol, using lemon extract instead and quite frankly, I liked the extra lemon flavor. It was served with warm pita bread.
My dining companion got the short end of the stick, literally, as her lamb Souvlaki was overcooked but otherwise, tasty. The burnt garlic pasta accompanying it was delicious.
I ordered the Moussaka plate and must admit, it was some of the best I've ever eaten. I would have preferred more Moussaka and less of the less than crisp potatoes served as a side. The vegetable side was a nice combination but again, overcooked and soggy.
It was the service of this restaurant that stood out - like a painful sore thumb. Slow, slow and slower. The minutes pass... the tip gets smaller and smaller.
