“Good first experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

Stayed here on business in April 2014. Very clean hotel - in rooms and in public areas. Didn't interact much with staff - but always friendly and helpful when I did. Be aware not much for food service - deli counter for egg sandwiches or oatmeal for breakfast & a counter for slices of pizza - no sit down restaurant. Always had line in morning. But it is a suites hotel - so stocking up in your suite for meals like breakfast is way to go. Only bar is outside by pool. Hotel was very quiet which was greatly appreciated. WiFi worked reliably - not always true at other hotels.

I attended a convention for work in Las Vegas and my company uses the Hilton Grand Vacations Suites on the Las Vegas Strip. The convention is a week long, so I had to spend eight days in Las Vegas - a place I would only recommend spending two or three days maximum otherwise.

The hotel has no casino, which is a plus for me. No casino means no extraneous noise, no smoke, and no potential distractions. The hotel also has no restaurant, though there is a market downstairs and it is a short walk or cab ride to some nicer restaurants on the Strip.

The hotel lobby is very nice and very well-kept. The pool area is nice (they do serve some food at the pool bar but it is not by any means representative of the Las Vegas dining experience. The room is very comfortable and mine even had a small kitchen (I ate breakfast in every morning I was there).

If you want gambling and partying this may not be the hotel for you, but if you want to relax and enjoy the Las Vegas weather, then I highly recommend this property.

Too small for a wheelchair. No casino in the Hotel and items in the downstairs "Marketplace" very expensive. The location is on the North side of the strip - a bit removed from some of the nicer casinos. Staff very nice.

We stayed for three night in a studio room. Act he room was clean, outfitted with reasonable kitchen items and was well prepped by housekeeping.

The property has a nice pool and the staff was attentive to any question we asked.

Room Tip: There is a CVS pharmacy just across the street, convenient to pick up that item you forgot to pack.

We just returned after a 2 week stay here, simply fabulous experience! This newer property fully lives up to the Hilton Grand Vacation Club brand quality and service. The entrance is very impressively landscaped with flowing lazy waterfall, pebbles and an impressive selection of palms and fragrant shrubs. The single bedroom suite we stayed in was very comfortable albeit falls a shade smaller in size than I would have liked it to be for a family of four. The kitchen was well equipped with clean and newer appliances, enough to motivate us to cook often, which we did. The built-in washer dryer in the kitchen area was a boon to have with younger kids. The main room and the bedroom had same size larger LCD TVs which is again an absolute must in order to have some peace at home with younger kids busy especially at the end of a tiring action packed day. The bed was very comfortable and well furnished to unpack and store stuff away. The hot tub in the bedroom was a sweet treat. However my girls did whine about the rather uncomfortable bed in their pull out couches and I did agree with them. I am yet to see a comfortable bed in a pull out couch in any resort. The bathroom was typically Hilton with granite counter, tiles and a decent shower. The staff were extremely helpful and caring, the level of service was beyond par. Couple minor complaints we had about the toilet flush and the showers were immediately attended to and fixed. The room service was impeccable in terms of promptness and courtesy. Car parking and Wi-Fi were included, which was a pleasant relief while checking-in. The larger outdoor pool area was great with several hot tubs around the pool to well distribute the soak thirsty adult bodies and two rather mid-sized pools for the kids to splash and shriek. The pool side restaurant is superb with enticing cocktails and mouth watering snacks and food. The adjacent salad bar, pizza and coffee shop was simply superb, very cosy and welcoming.

The resort is located just about at the very north end of the famous Strip and it takes about an hours walk to get to the mid section of the strip, the "happening place". However several casinos are closer, especially Wynn/Encore which we liked the most.

The resort does have some shortcomings most of which I think are easily fixable. My first and foremost complaint is about the quality of the Wi-Fi system. Almost every resort irrespective of brand/name that I have stayed in neglect to provide fast enough and reliable Wi-Fi system and Hilton resorts are no exception. This is a rather inexpensive and easy fix and it beats me why the management "across the brand name board" continue to ignore it. Travel and tourism today with multiple electronic devices is unthinkable without good quality internet. The room cleaning and linen changes were done once every four days which we thought fell quite short, every 2 days would be good but at least every 3 days should be minimum. The complimentary free coffee supplied in the suite was disgusting, simply tasted like mud. The paper products like kitchen napkins and toilet paper were very cheap and poor quality, which was a surprise for a Hilton brand. But like I said these are easy fixes and hopefully enough complaints will pour in for the management to realise and seize these opportunities to make it a wholesome luxury resort.

But do your homework to make sure this is the place for you......
Pros:
1. Our one bedroom suite was wonderful, spacious and extremely well equipped.....price was great too and no resort fees......
2. Staff was very polite and efficient....
3. Grounds and lobby were gorgeous....
4. If you have a car this is an excellent choice in a quiet location.....you can drive and park in any of the casino parking garages for free to enjoy the strip......
Cons:
1. This is a time-share facility and you might be approached....(we weren't).....but since I had read that they will call you on the room phone to solicit, I just unplugged both room phones.....after our stay I plugged them back in and noticed the message light was on......it said we had 10 messages during our 4 day stay, all from the hotel time share folks......so just remember to unplug that phone.....
2. The parking there was very convenient, but from what I have researched, it is the only place that charges for parking, but you should keep that in mind....it is $8 per day......
3. The hotel pool looks fantastic on their website, but it is only 3 1/2 ft deep in all areas, no deeper.....it really would be more honest to call it a wading pool and not a swimming pool......
