Snugged in between the Venetian and Harrah's and opposite the Bellagio, the Best Western Casino Royale has a great location. Rooms are surprisingly quiet, apparently recently renovated and clean.
Staff was professional and very friendly. Good value for money.
Only con: parking garage is difficult to find. Follow signs for Harrah's and at the last moment (just when you think you took the wrong entrance again) you will see a Best Western sign on your right.

What a gem on Las Vegas Strip! You can't beat the location; it's between Harrah's and Venetian, right across the street from Mirage! The price is reasonable, the rooms are nice. Yes, there is some construction out front and the parking is hard to find. It's a small place so it only takes a couple of minutes to get to your room from the street and you won't get lost in the casino. It's perfect with kids! Highly recommend this hotel! We'll definitely stay here again!!!

Stayed at the BWPCR, for the first time, from 8/21-8/25/2014, with my husband. We are both in our 50's, and have stayed in many different hotels in Vegas. Anything from the Venetian to Hooters. I tell you this only to give you an idea of the type of travelers we are.

What we liked

The price point. We paid less than $60 per night, over a weekend. There is no resort fees, free Wi-Fi, a fridge and Kuerig in the room. Need more pods for the Kuerig, call the front desk, no extra charge.

Spot on center strip. Facing south is Harrah's. Facing North is the Venetian. Across the Strip is the Mirage and Caesars. The Deuce bus stops at all three spots. This makes the the entire strip easy, cheap access. 3 day pass $20. which includes Fremont street.

The pool is small ,without the "scene".

Cheap table games $3-5 craps, with 10X odds

Cheap booze $1 beer $3 well drinks

The MEH

Hated the slamming doors. NOT THE FAULT OF THE CUSTOMER. The doors shut so abruptly, it sounds like everyone is slamming them, all day and night.

Exposed pipes that seem to emit a wafting BAD odor at times. I would stay away from rooms with the second digits ending in anything 0.

Small, Small, Small room. If you are 2 couples or four women, this WILL NOT work. You have a mirror in the bathroom, and one over the computer desk. The desk mirror is not appropriate for getting dressed, make-up, etc. Very dark

There is no view, or room service. We where aware of this, and didn't find it a problem.

Now the big question

Would I stay here again

Yes.

Is it the big bang for first time visitors

NO

This hotel is located in the middle of the strip so great for exploring. The rooms were fine as somewhere to lay your head at night, clean and comfortable beds.
We stayed in MGM during the week as you could get a suite for the same price as here but fri-sun room cost can treble which is why we moved to this hotel.
There was a funny smell in the casino I think it was a mix of smells from the food outlets.
If you're looking to do Vegas on a budget this is a great choice of hotel however there are some amazing themed hotel which are nicer to stay in.

Adequate....dat's probably the best way to describe this hotel - Affordable hotel bang in the centre of the Las Vegas Strip - so perfect location for people on a budget looking to gamble and explore the strip. The rooms are functional and adequate - wifi works well. The food court is basic and so is the casino. The lobby area and casinos often reeked of smoke but I guess that is try for all Las Vegas Hotels.

They do have some construction going on at their main entrance and so their alternate entrance is very tricky - but that will be short term.

Great hotel great staff although we were there for one night we really enjoyed the property. Will recommend this property to friends & family. I work at Best Western Colorado River Inn so the employee discount was a plus if I had to pay full price it still would have been worth it. Thank you John R.

I wouldn't go here for flair... but it has all the things a hotel needs. We used it mainly for sleeping, not much time in the casino. It's close to the big casinos on the strip so the location is great! We had no problem finding the parking after reading the reviews here, just go around back.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room
