My husband and I travelled from the UK and married here on 25th August 2009.
We had reviewed several potential places on the internet and this looked the best.
As the previous reviewer has already said, once we saw the other wedding chapels we were so glad we had chosen this one as it is away from the main strip, in its own (small) grounds and very picturesque.
We ordered a mid-range package with a bouquet and button-hole, the DVD of the service and the 30-day web-cam. We went there on our own with no guests, so the web-cam and DVD were very useful for showing friends and family afterwards. The flowers (roses) were lovely (I just specified "red") and lasted well over a week.
Re transport, we didn't order a limo, just got a cab down from our hotel (the Bellagio) which took 10 minutes, and then got the Deuce bus back which provided the other tourists with some good photos.
We arrived in Las Vegas the Saturday before (the wedding was on the Tuesday) and went to the County Clerk's office to get the licence on the Sunday. Everything was very straightforward, we just needed our passports and $60. We also checked out the chapel on the Sunday so we would know where we were going. It was very quiet and we didn't see any other weddings going on whilst we were there.
On the day itself, we got there early and picked up the flowers, handed over the licence and signed the necessary forms. We didn't have a witness so the chapel provided a member of staff to sign the form. As there was no one else booked we just went ahead with the wedding early. We had the standard "here comes the bride" organ music (live organist!). We walked down the aisle together. The minister was very good and gave a very moving speech (in fact I cried all the way through). It only took 5 minutes and then the photographer came and took some pictures, of which we chose one pose. These took 6 weeks to arrive in the post which is the norm apparently, but we got the DVD there and then.
We then walked down to the Las Vegas sign which took a couple of minutes and had another tourist take some great pics of us.
All in all it was a fantastic experience and i would recommend it to any couple who aren't after a conventional wedding.
Another thing is that apparently this chapel will feature on a TV programme "Piers Morgan On... Las Vegas". We had been told that his team would be filming there that week but we didn't see him. Apparently he pretends to marry Paris Hilton...
Cheers!
