We thoroughly enjoyed going through this Downtown Vegas museum. Going in we had no idea it would be so entertaining and well done. It's definitely a whole morning or afternoon attraction, so plan plenty of time so you can see it all. It's in an old court house near Fremont Street, with three floors of exhibits, many of them interactive. They have everything from an actual piece of the Valentine's Day Massacre wall complete with bullet holes to an exhibition of movies and tv shows centering around Mobsters. Some of the pictures are rather gory and might not be suitable for small children (there are signs warning people about these so you can make your own decisions) but the way the history of both the Mob and law enforcement's battles with them is portrayed is totally fascinating. It's not exactly cheap: $19.95 for adults, $15.95 for Seniors, Teachers and Law or Military personnel, and only $10.00 for Nevada residents. It is, however, well worth the price, and if you think you might go again there is a membership available. There is parking in a lot next door for $5 or in the old bus station lot next to that for free if you can find a space.
