was well pleased with this resort, the two bedroomed condo we were in, was fully equiped with every thing from a toaster to a dishwasher. they are furnished to a high standard. the gardens and pool area are very well maintained. the staff were always willing to help in any way they could. there is a shuttle bus that takes you to the strip from 1pm every hour till 1 am in the morning. it will be a must next time we go.

“Worth it!!!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2005

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Westgate and loved it!! It is just far enough off the strip to get some piece and quiet and great views of the mountains but close enough to be in the thick of it within 5 minutes. Check in was a breeze, even with the time share people in the lobby. The registration desk takes you to them at check in. The were friendly and not very pushy. The "free offers" looked pretty good but we had already made multiple show and dinner reservations. We declined and we never saw them again.

The pictures on the internet are very accurate of the suites. They do provide the basics for the dishwasher and washer/dryer. The kitchen is stocked with the basics. If you want to make hot breakfasts (pancakes, eggs) bring or buy a decent skillet. The kitchen has a blender, microwave, coffee maker and toaster and a full size refridgerator.

The jacuzzi tub in the bedroom was nice but the jets weren't very strong. If you don't pay for full maid service, bring something to clean the tub as it gets "gritty" after a few uses. The tub easily holds 2 and has a hand held sprayer for hair washing. Beware that each unit has it's own water tank and filling the tub drains the hot water. The large shower in the bathroom has great water pressure but the glass doors do leak onto the floor. We just mopped it with a towel.

The king size bed was extremely comfortable and for the first time in my travels had enough pillows! The 1 bedroom came with 6 large pillows. Our suite faced Flamingo Road and we didn't hear the traffic even with a window in the front of the bedroom that faced the road.

We booked the suite through Expedia and paid $69/night. For the little time we spent in the room, it was MORE than worth it. We could have spent more time in it but there was to much to see and do on the strip!! I've paid double that for other similar accomodations and not been as pleased as I was with this.

On the slight down side... The front desk is very difficult to get ahold of on the phone. And just a side note; if you book through Expedia, you get minimal maid service such as bedmaking, dish washing and trash pick up. I wasn't expecting this and was alittle freaked to return to the room to find the dishwasher running when I'd left jewelry out on the dresser and cash in the night table! The room does also have a safe in the closet but it is alittle difficult to operate.

I will definately return to Westgate!! The value is awesome, the grounds are breathtaking and it is conviently located to everything!!!

“It's our favorite place in Vegas now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2005

We have been going to Vegas for about 25 years. It has gotten so crowded over the past few years that my husband and I started looking for a place off of the strip that wasn't so crowded but had to be very nice.
We have stayed here 3 times now and have always been very pleased.
They have everything you could possibly want for an extended stay or a stay with children. (we usually stay 4 days to a week)
They have full sized kitchens, washer and dryers, a Jacuzzi, and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! There is a flat screened television (don't know the exact size but very large) built in, above the fireplace.
They also have a 19 inch T.V. in the bedroom. There are several grocery stores within a few blocks to get grocerys. Ruth Chris steak house is just down the street. They also have 24 hour security at the gate. They also have numerous grills on the grounds if you want to cook out. A very nice swimming pool to relax by.
We always rent a car upon arrival in Vegas so the distance from the strip is not a problem for us, however, it is probably about a mile or so to the strip. However, I have seen van type vehicles on the property so I am thinking that they probably have shuttle service back and forth. There is also a bus stop just across the street.
The best part is the price! We usually stay from Sunday thru Friday and the rates are VERY reasonable. I just booked this place again thru expedia and got a rate of 49.00 per night. I love my creature comforts when traveling and a very nice place to stay is a must. Westgate Flamingo lives up to all of our expectations and would not hesitate for a moment to recommend it.

Good luck in Vegas!!

“Wonderful Condo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2005

We stayed for 2 nights at the Westgate and loved every minute of it.
We were amazed when we stepped inside the Condo...it was huge. Sittingroom with dining table. Full kitchen inc.washer & drier. Two bedrooms. Queen bed, jacuzzi, shower room, two sinks, and large tv in the 1st bedroom, two double beds, ensuite, and another large tv in the 2nd bedroom.
It was extremly well presented and furnished.
The pool and landscaping were lovely.
The free shuttle bus (best to pre- arrange this as it gets full on an evening) leaves every hour from Westgate and has 4 pickup sites for returning until 1am every night.
There is a local store across the main road which you can get milk, cereal and bread etc.
We are aware that you can buy these Condo's and saw many people being given a tour, but we were not approached .
Highly recommended and cannot believe we had so much for less than we paid for a Motel 6!

“Very nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2005

We stayed at the Westgate Flamingo Bay while in Las Vegas which was something different for us. We like being on the strip in the Monte Carlo or one of the other hotels. But since we stay for a couple of weeks we thought it would be nice to try something different, and we have family there so we thought this would be great for our extended stay.
The Westgate was very nice, the kitchen was a good size and right off the kitchen we had a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer that was wonderful...no dirty clothes to take home. The bathrooms were a little noisy but no big deal. The beds were so comfy and luxiourious, very comfortable. There is a fireplace in the living room, with all the luxiouries of home, dvd player, tv, stereo, etc. Lots of windows and a nice dining area. We had a one bedroom which had connecting doors to the bathroom, one side was from the living room area, the other from the bedroom.
The pool was a little on the small side but still fun. They had a game area also.
Check in was easy but then they steer you over to the salespeople who try to set you up for a free breakfast (sales pitch of course) and give you free tickets...we declined but the woman was rude, didn't like her at all..not a good sales rep if you ask me.
I guess our only complaint is that it was too far out of our way, we like being in the midst of things. Otherwise its a nice place.
