“Asian persuasion....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Rice is a great place to sample fine Chinese cuisine and great sushi, the menu is split between this 2 choices of Asian fares....The restaurant is beautiful, classy and well run, the staff was attentive and polite, as well as very well trained as far as answering questions on any aspects of Rice menus!!! we were lucky to get the services of a young man named Peter, and he was wonderful and efficient!!The wine list and drinks are adequate, and the wine BTG is generously poured! The food was very well prepared (garlic shrimp, vegetarian sesame thin noodles, veggie fried rice) and so delicious, and light!! Only one dark spot the shrimp tempura was very inferior in my opinion, not fluffy and too oily, almost dessicated!the oil was probably a little too cold or slightly old....regardless, i will be back to sample the rest of this great Asian temple of goodness!!!!! as far as price, it is perfectly acceptable price for high quality products (the shrimp were probably the best i have had in years, just by the quality and consistence)...otherwise you can buy a "all day pass" at the buffet for $35, and it is actually not bad at all, you would just miss on greatness, i, personally, cannot!

“Very tasty, but very pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal here with some overpriced beef chow fun and salad. It was very tasty, but also very expensive, however everything on the Strip seems to be overpriced.

“Rice was VERY Nice!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stopped by Rice & Company for dinner just before attending the Criss Angel show at the Luxor.
The restaurant wasn't very crowded so we were seated immediately. The wait staff was prompt and helpful.
We had the "special of the day" sushi roll which contained Tuna/Salmon/Avocado/Cucumber. We split that and when we asked if the roll could be made with only half including avocado (I don't do avocado) they not only obliged but served the roll on 2 plates with all the fixings on each plate (no extra charge). It was excellent. Fresh and delicious.
We also had the miso soup which was great as well. it had far more seaweed than what we'd become used to at other restaurants.
The appetizer we split was the shrimp tempura. Great choice. it came with 3 monster shrimp, asparagus, onion and sweet potato. Great portion and very tasty.
I'd recommend Rice & Company to anyone staying at the Luxor, and anyone within short walking distance.
It wasn't cheap, but it was very well worth it.

“Great service and food.”

We ate here on the last night of our holiday and the food was very, very good. The service was great and the tastes fresh and clean. A great meal and not expensive for the quality.

“Unimpressed & overpriced.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Went here with a group of 8 people. We made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived (Saturday night 8:45 res).

I got the pad thai. Awful choice. It was bland and the shrimp was very fishy. The noodles seemed over cooked. And, it was $18.

My friend got the sexy roll which was also $18, I believe - and rather unimpressive.

All around, the food was terrible. Service was satisfactory. There has to be a better asian restaurant in Vegas. I would suggest going somehwere else.
