“Could be worse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012 NEW

Great large quiet room.Nice grounds.Great massage.Hate the fact that smokers are allowed to smoke in the casino as the first thing that hits you when you walk into reception is the terrible stale smell of tobacco.Food ordinary to terrible.NO milk supplied for tea.

“An Oasis of calm amongst the chaos”

Massive suites in fantastic condition and very clean throughout. Free wifi in public areas. Wonderful poolside environment for day-time. A 15 minute walk through the heat to the strip at Ballys. Food and drinks very reasonable. 3 storey Tuscan type buildings perfect for those who don't like high rise and HUGE hotels. Airport 10 mins away.

Advice for Vegas- bring walking shoes, ignore the awful 'sex salesman' touting cards on the strip and protect your personal space.

Room Tip: all suites the same as far as we know.

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012 NEW

Stayed for three nights in the O building at an average rate of $45 a night plus the $15 "resort fee" which is just a gimmick to increase the actual room rate. However, the resort fee does give you some savings at the restaurants which can recoup a night or two of the resort fee. Even with the resort fee, the room was cheaper than the oldest, cheapest rooms at Ballys and Flamingo. Hotel was clean, hallways are clean and have new carpeting and nice wall coverings. The room is very large, bed comfortable, new carpeting, eating area with refrigerator and a large bathroom which had a separate room for the toilet, separate shower and separate tub area. Bathroom was much larger than many of the rooms at places like Ballys and Flamingo. Parking is free, ample and right outside your building. The hotel consists of a series of three story buildings, spread out on immaculate grounds, surprising for a cheaper property like this. I like this layout compared to the large Strip hotels where you walk a mile from the parking lot and another mile through the casinos and hallways until you finally make it to your room. Exercise facility was decent for a cheaper property and is "free" with the resort fee.
Ate at Marilyns twice and the food was good and priced better than the Strip hotels. The casino is smaller than the Strip hotels but you can always do your gambling elsewhere. The free wifi worked great in the restaurants and the lobby and also worked great in the room on the one day I paid for it.
Only negative-they did not clean my room the first night. Told a housekeeper about this the next day and she immediately called down and she then personally cleaned the room even though not assigned to it. Also, TV is the old tube type, but that isn't a reason not to stay here.

“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012 NEW

Just returned from Vegas and stayed at Tuscany Suites on Flamingo Road. So pleasantly surprised, surrounded by beautiful gardens, large room with large bathroom. Serviced every day and spotless. Bus stop outside to take you to the strip, could walk if you wanted, only a couple of blocks. Everything there that you need, great restaurants and staff very friendly.

Absolute value for money. Would stay ther again!

Room Tip: Try and book a top floor (3rd floor) no noise.

“More than 1 hour of waittime for check in?!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

When we arrived at the Tuscany at 9:30 pm there was a huge line up at the check in desk. As we didn't have had dinner yet, we decided to have dinner first and check in later. We came back at 11 pm - and still had to wait more than 1 hour for check in - with three counters open. That's totally unacceptable! They know the number of reservations in advance and could staff accordingly.
Interesting thing is that staff were doing administration stuff at front desk without helping customers. Terrible service!
We were later told that their computer system was down ad they had to assign rooms manually. But still, why did it take such a long time and why did nobody inform the guests waiting what was going on?

While waiting I wanted to use the mens' restroom. It was totally dirty, really disgusting!

The cleanliness of the room itself was poor (pubic hairs on the basin), so the overall rating is terrible.

The rooms are somewhat spacious with kitchenettes. They offer enough space for all your belongings.

The location is two blocks off the Strip. I knew that when booking, and it was totally fine for me. If you want to be on the strip, this is definitely the wrong hotel!

Based on my experiences I can not recommend the Tuscany at all!

“Calm resort just off the strip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at the Tuscany. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food and drink available are good, and it's mostly quiet.

It is in the flight path of LAS, and you can hear the planes go overhead in the room, but it's not that huge a problem, as there seem to be few night flights.

Having a $14 resort fee wouldn't be bad if it included wifi in the room (another $15 a day). Granted, there is free wifi in the lobby area. But, when you're tired, and your room is at the other end of the resort, you don't feel like treking across the resort.

Since it is off the strip, cab service on busy nights can be iffy. Last night was a big fight night, so while waiting in line for a cab for almost an hour, 3 cabs arrived, all drop offs from the airport. If the resort had a shuttle for the airport and drop off on the strip (even if they only dropped off at one of the major casinos which are about a mile away) it would have been better...

“Front Desk & Reservation Manager Inept”

I was asked to send in my credit card information and drivers license to pay for 4 night for a friend. All was good until I was told that authorization was for only the first night???? They told me they misplaced my original paperwork (all my Credit Card info!) and that I need to resend it in. Let's just say I will not be putting anyone else up at this resort property... too many other professional establishments in Vegas.
