“A Home away from Home, Right on The Strip!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

First things first: people who complain about the noise on TA might not know this, but the hotel offers complimentary ear plugs... Just ask!

Now that that's out of the way: We booked a few rooms here for my 30th Birthday, and we were all pleasantly surprised. Location is prime -- major Strip hotels are right next door, with quick access to bus routes and the monorail all within a 5 minute walk. Guests at the HGVC can self park in the adjacent lot for free, and the back roads help avoid some of the congestion on the main roads.

Having full-size appliances in each room was a huge plus: using the dryer for wet bathing suits and keeping beer cold in the fridge are the obvious favorites, but we found the kitchenette to be perfectly functional for cooking a small meal. There's a Walgreens around the corner, which usually has the cheapest drinks if you want to save some coin.

The Flamingo pools are lively, and they offer domestic beer specials before noon. Be there around 8:30 or 9am if you want a good spot. For a change of pace, the private HGVC pool is smaller, but features its own bar and 'member only' drink specials. It's also open until 10pm, and having access to one of the grills down there is a big plus.

Food at The Flamingo is typical faire, but we went back to the deli at the Hilton more than a few times: The sandwiches, panini's and salads were all fresh and tasty. I'm a sucker for chicken salad, and for under $4, it's not bad when you want something lighter than nachos and quesadillas. They also have free bottled water for members in the deli, so FYI!

Mainly geared toward families and folks staying in Vegas for more than a few days, this resort offers the functionality and comfort of home with a great location on The Strip. I would definitely consider coming back here again!

Room Tip: North Tower was nice and quiet, and had great views of the pool area!

Enjoyed the Club pool which was next to the Flamingo's adult pool. Able to get the fun atmosphere of the Flamingo, but have a private place to enjoy the sun. Also nice to have a full kitchen to enjoy leisurely morning breakfast. And there are gas BBQ grills in the pool area - so we grilled steaks one night. fantastic.

Overall very nice. The pool at Flamingo had all the happenings, and HGVC guests get to enjoy it. Music from Flamingo was nearly constant and abit loud, but not enough to make the stay unenjoyable. The location is outstanding. Right in the middle of the stip for easy access to everything. Rooms were very nice.

Room Tip: The employees called me in advnace to let me know there was construction going on and they gave me a...

When we travel as a family to Vegas we look for a suite with full kitchen and separate bedroom. We'd been looking to be closer to mid-strip and decided to try this location. Location was exactly what we were looking for in terms of proximity the Flamingo, Forum shops and Bellagio attractions. We were in the South tower which was just steps to the back of the Flamingo. Our only major drawback was the noise from the Go Pool at the Flamingo. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon during an "event" which meant the noise was louder than usual. It did stop by 6pm, however there was then a wedding that night at 8pm but after that it settled down. As indicated the Hilton can't control this noise and does their best to manage it. Although South tower was closest access to the Flamingo, it was likely the closest to the pool speakers.

As for the suite, it was smart layout with the kitchen and separate bath areas. My only suggestion would be that some form of privacy from the jacuzzi bath to the bed - if you're sharing the suite with anyone besides your significant other.

Service in the hotel was excellent. The bell desk helped us with luggage and with groceries. We used the valet service rather than trying to park with 2 small children. We were allowed to call down from our room and have the car there when we got to the main doors.

Access to the not only the Hilton pool but the Flamingo pool.

I was also surprised to have housekeeping daily - although since we booked as a hotel guest and not vacation club members this was likely the reason.

Overall I would stay here again. The noise was reasonable the other days and was done by 6pm, however if you have anyone easily distracted by noise I might suggest trying the North tower.

Room Tip: South tower is closest to the Flamingo but the noisiest.

Three of my sisters and my brother in law stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We got two rooms that were connected with a hallway behind double doors. We had a full kitchen which worked out great. Since we were all doing different things in Las Vegas and some of us stayed out late and others didin't , these accommodattions were perfect! The location was fabulous - we could walk to everything we wanted on the Strip. We were able to relax together and really enjoyed out time because we stayed at the HGV Flamingo instead of a casino. Would go back anytime!

Stay at this HGVC everytime we're in Vegas because of the great location and large rooms. 1 bedroom is like a small apartment. we also enjoy the convenience and selections available at the on-site deli. only disappointment, and it gets worse every time, is the pool area. it is small, the pool is not heated and the spa doesn't work most of the time. Also, if you don't like listening to loud contemporary, rap music when trying to relax at the pool you shouldn't plan to stay here. DJ at the Flamingo pool starts by 11 and goes all day! maybe if you buy enough margaritas at the HGVC pool bar which are reasonably priced, you won't mind the noise!

I am delighted to hear that you always stay at our property. We appreciate your loyalty! I am happy to report that we recently installed new mechanical equipment for our pool and spas. Our pool and spa experience is much improved and better than ever. Additionally, all of our owners and guests have exclusive access to the Flamingo Hotel & Casino’s pool complex. Thank you for your comments and I hope to welcome you back soon.

We traveled with 2 children and wanted a condo style that was not in a Las Vegas hotel/casino. We booked this one because of location to strip and use of Flamingo Hilton pool. But our children were not allowed in the really nice pool with waterfalls, etc. That pool was adult only ....so we had a great view of the pool that our kids could not enjoy. Spent our time trying to explain why they couldn't go in the 'fun' pool. So we went to HGVC pool which is located near dumpsters of Flamingo Hilton and had to leave pool area because the smell was horrible. The Flamingo does have a kid pool, but was much smaller and not open during week yet so we couldn't enjoy that either. Also, called a few hours before arrival and requested feather free room, but when we arrived at 2am this had not been done so had to wait for housekeeping to deliver. Usually not an issue, but it was because it was 2am! Rooms are really nice and location is good if you want to be on the strip. But doesn't offer much more for those traveling with kids. Also, didn't appreciate having to pay $10 for valet. We stayed 2 more days in Las Vegas, but moved to another hotel. For the price, we really expected more.

Thank for your providing feedback on your recent stay with us. Please keep in mind the odor you smelled at our pool is from a neighboring construction project. The odor is very sporadic and should be resolved by the middle of August. I assure you that the challenges encountered are very isolated and certainly not indicative of our service. I hope that you will stay with us again soon.
