Friends were recently on a cruise and saw Don Barnhart. He mentioned that he had a show opening in Las Vegas and gave them some free admission cards. The regular price is $30
The property is off the strip, but not too far from the Wynn (it's a short cab ride). The free admission didn't include the $5 entertainement tax/fee. OK, they have to keep the lights lit. The show itself is in an vintage Las Vegas style showroom, not a comedy club type set up.
This was THE BEST comedy we have seen in Las Vegas. The opening acts were all funny. The host was great. Don had us in stiches. None of the jokes were offensive. My wife isn't a big fan of stand up, and she loved it.
Las Vegas has a history of great acts starting off in small places. I saw Danny Gans at the Statosphere for $19.99. A short time later, he was getting top dollar at the Rio. Don Barnhart is a guy you'll be seeing at a big strip casino one day. Go see him now, while the price is low.
