Probably the last hostel I will stay in as this type of lodging is not for everybody. Females should get an all femme dorm. An intoxicated man got into my lower bunk (no upper was avail to me) then a couple hours later stood before it thinking it to be the men's room. Staff here goes out of their way at times however there are several fees preferrably avoided such as early check in fee. $10 key deposit and its given back in cash, NOT credited back to card even if that was the original source. Housekeeping is basically intrusive: coming in several times a day, inspecting, rearranging, etc then door slamming as they leave.

We had good time at Hostel Cat. The room was clean, they allowed us to leave our luggage before and after our stay and everyone was really helpful. There is lots of activities and different people with who you can hang out during your stay in Vegas. Location is pretty good, around 15 minutes walk from the Stratosphere, what is great for such a cheap hostel.

Just got in yesterday and can not wait to leave. Been in other hostels before so I knew there is no luxury to be expected but this one is just a dump! Everything is dark, cramped and dirty. Really don't understand all these positive reviews. U have to pay for everything extra and I don't feel welcome at all :(

I thought this hostel was excellent. It is in a decent location(in between the main strip and fremont street experience). There is a 7-11 about a hundred yards down the road. It's easy to walk to the fremont street experience but I would recommend getting a bus to the main part of the strip, 20 dolars for 3 days).There is a great social element to the place. There are always activities going on and if you don't feel up to heading out they have a wide selection of movies to watch. The staff are friendly and seem to work hard. I would recommend staying at this hostel. Great value!
