My husband and I saw Lance Burton in March of 2009. Tickets did not seem overpriced for the show we saw. I think we paid just around $80 per ticket.
Our Seats: We sat in row L, the first row of the mezzanine. The view was fine from this location, worth dropping the price a bit. I suspect if you can get the front row of the balcony, that would be just as good, and a little cheaper.
The Show: A little cheesy, but good for children. He even calls kids up onto the stage from the orchestra seating, so if you have a child willing to partake in the fun, sitting up in the orchestra may be worth the price for your family. Some of the tricks were silly and others were quite amazing.
The half time show: There was a 'psycho' juggler that performed between Lance Burtons sets. He was my favorite part of the whole show! Very funny and entertaining, I had to look up his name to remember it: Michael Goudeau. He has a bigger future in Vegas for sure.
Overall: We both love the big illusions more than just silly tricks, so Copperfield is more of our magic personality than Lance Burton was, but like i said the show is worth the price we paid for tickets, and if you have children this is probably a better magic show to take them to, over Copperfield.
Another note: the theater was not full the night we saw it, that may have taken away from the energy in the theater.
