My husband and I stayed at the Palms for 4 nights in Jan 2013. We were offered a great room rate and stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms in the Ivory Tower. The room was wonderful! I don't need a lot of luxury in a hotel room. I only ask for a clean and will kept room. Our room looked and smelled brand new. Bed was soft with crisp clean linen. The floor to ceiling view was amazing. It was great to see the moutains every morning. The bathoom was large. One sink with lots of counter space. No tub but the shower had a large rain style spray. The Ivory tower had short halls so it did not take long to walk to the elevator or to the ice machine. Security was stationed near the elevators which was conforting. We are budget travelers and love the inexpensive food options at the Palms. Great oatmeal at the Earl of Sandwich. The 24/7 cafe has daily specials that can't be beat. Steak and eggs or Prime Rib for around $7. The buffet was good, not great and as a hotel guest you can use the VIP line which was a blessing to bypass the long line to get it. We enjoy gambling and getting the free drinks and casino experience. We noted that a server comes around in the mornings offering coffee and doughnuts to players(how cute). I find the slots at the Palms looser then other casinos. I had the best luck of my life here-won $1500 on a penny slot with .30 bet!!! The Palms is off the strip and a bit too far to walk but I enjoy the break from the crowds and chaos of the strip. It is a quick walk across the street to the Gold Coast and The Rio. So yes the Palms is my favorite and we will be back.

Room Tip: Get a players club card. It is free and you qualify for great discounts in the cafe 24/7. Ivory tow...

I generally stay in higher end properties when I can find a suite in the 150$ range/weekdays (Vdara, Platinum, THE Hotel, Palms Place) but the remodeled rooms seemed very nice, and having found a good deal for a saturday (79$) I decided to give it a try.
I already knew the property, being a regular at Palms Place, so nothing new here.
The new room was, as expected, wonderful.
Large room with a large flat tv (40"something), large bathroom, nice furniture and hip vibe.
Problems start at night.
Went to sleep at 2 pm. after a poker tournament.
Waken up at 3 pm. by a teenager group loudly singing "Happy birthday to you" just outside my room.
Waken up again 1 hour later or so by someone shouting in the corridor.
During the night, heard a kind of "Boom!Boom!" on the wall, as if someone was hitting his fist hard against it.
So, my lesson is: don't do it, unless you've no problem with drunk teenagers at night (or unless YOU are a drunk teenager at night)

Have stayed at The Palms several times on two to three day business visits to Las Vegas. The room was very nice, on a high floor in the original tower, renovated rooms, with terrific views to the North. The rooms are large, feel great and have floor to ceiling windows, a very comfortable bed and easy to adjust the room temperature. Great shower and bathroom. You can get terrific pricing via price line or you can also book direct. It is good to remember that there is an additional "resort fee" of $20.00 if you book the discounted pricing. There are several upscale places to eat as well as an eating court, if you are on a budget, with the added bonus of a movie theater complex. Parking is easy and you will want to have a rental car to get around.

Room Tip: Pick the old tower which has been renovated and get a higher floor. Spectacular views and quiet...

The rooms were very nice, and the bed soooo comfy we looked forward to resting in the room. The view to the south was beautiful, especially at sunset, with floor to ceiling windows, unobstructed. A car is necessary because its a couple miles from the strip however they do provide a shuttle service to Ceasar's Forum Shops. Valet service is very efficient and free, although we tipped a dollar each time they brought the car. The bathrooms are also very nice and large. The buffet breakfast was included in our Travelzoo deal as well as a Sunday champagne brunch. If you don't mind being off the strip this is a great hotel for Las Vegas.

Room Tip: Rooms facing south have a good view and pleasant sunset.

We have stayed at the Palms numerous times since it opened and have always had a great time. The rooms have been renovated in the original tower and now the rooms in the second newer tower are considered the "old" rooms. All rooms are great except make sure you get a room many floors away from whichever nightclub is going that night unless you like your walls pounding until the wee hours of the morning. The rooms are otherwise extremely quiet and neighboring rooms cannot be heard through the walls. Great beds. The guests range from the hottest dressed young crowd to the occasional celebrity to old people and everything in between. The much loved restaurants of Little Budda and Gardunos are now closed and new high end supposedly "cool"ones are replacing them.

The only real turn off is the disgusting scent being added to the ventilation system in the casino. Someone had a brilliant idea that everyone loves strong perfume smell but it is turning off many players. If you love to sniff perfume while playing and to have your clothes reeking for days after leaving the the Palms, this place is for you. Even after washing our clothes, the scent was still in the clothes! Disgusting smell and a complete turn off at an otherwise great place. As if the smoke smell in casinos isn't bad enough but now someone figures everyone loves to smell some fragrance. Wrong! Hopefully the Palms will hear enough complaints and get rid of someones stupid idea that other casinos have tried and scrapped.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if that's what you want.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and loved it, the staff were awesosme, friendly and very helpful, stayed one night at The Palms Place which I loved even more! The slots paid good unlike other casinos on the strip, which made it alot more fun. The Moon was alot of fun, we had a table on the dance floor and security checked on us every few minutes to make sure we were ok, enjoyed the stay very much and will be back soon.. :)

We went to the Palms for my 40th bday. The palms is really nice but the newly remodeled rooms are beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. We were on the 21st floor above the nightclub but heard nothing. Also, if you get a chance try the Nine Steakhouse inside the Palms. Expensive but worth every penny. We had great service and they knew it was my bday. We got a free appetizer from the chef and a free dessert. The dessert is amazing--s'mores at your table! Ver cool.
The Palms is off the strip but they have a shuttle that will take you to the strip until 8 pm. We had a great time and would recommend this hotel and restaurant.
