Just played at this course August 28. It was like playing on dirt. Just terrible. And for $100 it was a complete rip off. My local municipal course at $20 is in better shape. I would not recommend this to anyone. You are better off paying for a cab and going to a course further away from the strip. And the people working there could care less. They just want your money,

Great "looking" course but not worth the money

Course looked great but given the conditions and the money I paid to play there, I wasn't overly impressed. I'm not exactly a scratch golfer but the fairways were hard and the greens were terrible (uneven, dry..... the tee shots that landed on the greens on the par 3's didn't even leave a mark). That being said- the layout was great, course was beautiful and staff was friendly (the 16th hole, they had a "bet" to double your wager in gift certificates if you could keep your tee shot on the green on this 100 yard par 3 over the water!) It seems like there are other courses in the area (I also played Desert Pines while I was there) that were cheaper and probably in better shape.

Played it on Sat. (6:50) morning. Excellent service from staff from time I arrived in getting set -up with club rentals and cart to the starter. Snack shack was open for breakfast. Practice green and range close to 1st tee to keep things moving. Wife came as ride-along and enjoyed it. Course in very nice shape. Greens had been top dressed (probably 4-5 days before) but still looked great and rolled well. Fairways and rough in great shape. Nice rental clubs (Callaway Diablo driver and metal woods and x-22 irons w/Odyssey putter. New Precedent golf cars , Ice chest/with purified ice to keep drinks cool. Cart girl came around every 4 holes (saw her 4 times). Airport is very close , but if aircraft don't bother you you'll have fun. Nice airshow anyway. I would play it again and it's only 5-10 minutes from most Strip hotels. Recommend yard book ($5) if your playing for 1st time. Lots of yard markers in fairways.

Not having a rental car, my wife's son and I chose to play Bali Hai during a recent trip to Las Vegas because it is so close (a 10-minute cab ride from Bellagio). We felt like we got about what we paid for. The course was in good shape and, unlike some of the courses out in the desert, the wind was not a factor. The constant flow of airplanes taking off right over us and the sight-seeing helicopters flying low over the course before landing was distracting, but that's what you get for being close to the strip. The golf course personnel were pleasant and everything worked like clockwork, although the restaurant was closed for a private party (at 1 p.m. in the afternoon) and we had to eat lunch at a little sandwich hut near the putting green. The sandwiches were good, however, and the beer was cold. We didn't spring for a forecaddie and bought a $5 yardage book instead, which was helpful although there are ample yardage markers on the sprinklers in the fairways. The time taken to play the course for our foresome (we were matched up with two other folks) was about average for a resort course--4 1/2 hours. We would play there again.

Played in early November 2007 and had a great round. An open fairway from tee to green is my kind of Vegas course. Got a peak at Bill Clinton playing and his secret service escorts and I thought that was pretty cool. The guys in the golf shop said he plays there once in while and that other celebrities play more frequently. They told me they generally don’t talk about who plays, it’s that “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas thing,” but I managed to learn that Celine Dion is a great golfer and that many of the Vegas headliners play the course as it is so convenient. It is pricey, but what in Vegas isn’t these days? For me it was worth it to be treated like a real Vegas high roller. I should just be so lucky on the tables.
