Having seen an advertisement for the Skywalk, we rented a vehicle to drive from Las Vegas to the skywalk location. The view of the Grand Canyon is of course spectacular, but the advertised costs for going out on the skywalk, doesn't include the fact that you also have to pay $45 dollars for the bus ride to get to the skywalk location, (Eagle point) as well as Guano Point. On arriving at the skywalk location, we found out that no cameras were allowed; only their photographers were allowed to take your picture. All in all, a money grab that was not worth the cost. The view from Guano Point was more breathtaking than at the skywalk, and hey, you were allowed to take pictures there. Rather than all these hidden costs, I would recommend a helicopter tour. It would be faster (14 miles of unpaved, rutted, dusty road to get there) and likely a better view.
