The Linq is the remodeled Imperial Palace/Quad. The remodel was nicely done - this is no longer your old dingy Imperial Palace. The rooms are nice for the price. The rooms are better than similarly priced places like Ballys (old rooms) and Flamingo (better than the Go rooms). Linq has a great location on the Strip, getting to and from the room from the parking garage is pretty easy and the Linq shopping area and remodel of the casino make this a fine place to stay without hesitation.
If you are looking for a luxury room, then pay more for Bellagio/Venetian but if you are trying to stay in a lower cost place, I now like this place better than Harrah's offerings at Flamingo/Bally's. The only criticisms are that the walls are on the thin side so while not a problem during our stay, noisy neighbors would be a problem, there is construction ongoing that begins during weekday mornings (though it did not disturb us). On the plus side, we appreciated the investment in visible hotel security and that they checked room keys at the elevators leading up to the rooms. Makes you feel more secure. Finally, I booked this under a Total Rewards package and there were some billing glitches at the end...otherwise, we liked the online/text messaging check-in/check-out system that the Linq uses.
