“Why you came to Vegas in the first place...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I don't understand people ripping on this place. Did you come to Vegas to volunteer with your church group? Did you come for a nice quiet weekend with the Mrs.? Maybe read War and Peace? Followed by missionary style sex with the lights off? Probably not.

This place embodies the current state of Las Vegas. Trendy, opulent and over the top. And I can't get enough of it. Great food. Great cocktails. Young, trendy vibe with a friendly staff. Great eye candy for guys and girls alike. Perfect place to go and let loose for a weekend. And it's clean.

Also one of the few hotels in Vegas where to standard rooms have balconies.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony facing the Bellagio Fountains. Doesn't get more "iconic Vegas&quo...

You don't even need to leave this hotel to experience Vegas. This place has everything you need! Very modern and clean. The rooms are amazing and very large for the price. Bathroom was out of this world. Robes & slippers. Upgrade for the Bellagio fountain view, worth it! Chandelier bar is amazing. Dining is superb. Easy walk to the hot spots. Will stay here every time!

Room Tip: Bellagio fountain view upgrade!

The hotel rooms and pool are absolutely stunning.

The staff at the desk and on the phone were very helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Highly recommend anybody to stay here

I stayed at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas at the beginning of September. Having been to Vegas several times before I have stayed in various hotels on the strip now. I had heard good reviews about this hotel from friends so booked up. Was travelling with a large party for my sisters wedding, 36 of us in total - Not one person has a bad word to say about the hotel. Got to count for something right?

Location - Slap bang in the middle of the strip. Location simply cannot be beat!

Check in - Was quick and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful (cant be said about other check ins I have had in Vegas). I found the staff in the Cosmo to be the friendliest of the other hotels I have stayed in on the Strip.

Rooms - We had a one bedroom fountain view suite with balcony overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. Absolutely incredible. The room is huge and has everything you need. The bathroom itself is the size of a standard hotel room in the UK. They were cleaned daily to a high standard. Now I know not much sleeping happens in Vegas, but seriously, the bed is something else, amazing! The view from the balcony at night is out of this world. A rare thing to have a balcony in Vegas but it made a massive diference.

Pool - There are a few pools within the hotel. We only used one. Was a smaller pool but plenty of sunbeds and a nice atmosphere.

Breakfast - Dont even know where to begin with this. Breakfast was included in our rate at the Wicked Spoon restaurant. Wow! Buffet style can be questionable, especially when there is so much choice on offer, but everything was coocked to perfection. The standard Eggs, bacon, sausages etc all there, including other selections you would not believe. My dad had steak and mac & cheese every day for breakfast. There is also sushi, ribs, chicken, desserts, ice cream.. the list is endless.

I cant say enough good things about this hotel. Have read some of the more negative reviews on here and am honestly very surprised. Like I said - 36 people at one time, not one complaint!

Room Tip: One Bedroom fountain view suite, balcony and view - incredible.

What a beautiful hotel. Perfect location to other hotels for sightseeing and a mall across the street. The staff was wonderful and always helpful. Clean and large rooms. Upgraded to a balcony room and love the view!! Two thumbs up. Would give it 3 thumbs if I had an extra one!

Apologies to the staff who seem nice and to be trying hard, but ugh, this hotel feels smarmy, and over-sexualized in an adolescent sort of way. If I were spoofing a design of The No-Tell Motel, this would be it. We had a view of the pool- nice, please explain what the boxed binoculars on the mini-bar are for...The shower features a full glass wall facing the bedroom with the shade for privacy controlled from the outside- subtle! Likewise the silhouettes of naked women on the bathroom wallpaper-tasteful.

It's never daytime here- all public space lighting is twilight, and once the sun goes down it is too dark to read in a guest room- although the mirrors facing the beds suggest that they weren't designed for reading in.... If you are a vampire this could be a destination- breakfast buffet doesn't open until 8:00 am but there is a dark and noisy bar that serves 24 hours a day. And you have to walk miles through sprawling expanses to get out of the building-all overdone, dark and "opulent" with the hotel's trademark sexy stiletto-heeled shoe featuring largely in the decor- photographed dripping with chocolate, sculpted larger than life and ready to be photographed with guests inside. Sophistication for the unsophisticated. Staying here makes me feel complicit in my own exploitation. Can't wait to get home to shower.

Fantastic, well maintained hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Love the quirky artwork. Pool areas are a little smaller that some other Vegas hotels and can therefore get crowded quickly, so get in early if you want decent lounge spot.
