“Trip of a Lifetime Ruined by Cosmo's Greed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

My partner & I stayed here for my 21st birthday on September 3rd, while the stay was ok, we were never told that the hotel would be keeping $150 dollars per night bond on the room. nearly 4 weeks later we are still waiting for our "bond" to be refunded, despite a very expensive phone call from Australia requesting that our deposit be refunded, we are still waiting, we could have done with that money for the rest of our vacation, what a disappointment.

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas in October 2012 as the last leg of our honeymoon from Australia.

This hotel is one of the newest in Las Vegas but even so it is centrally located on "The Strip" and right next door to the Bellagio. Our check in was dealt with quickly and efficiently (despite the large number of guests doing the same). Upon getting to our room on the 54th floor, we were stunned by the sheer size and quality of our suite.

The room had two bathrooms, a kitchenette, lounge area and bed. It was spacious, very clean and had all modern amenities. There was also a balcony that gave us spectacular views over Las Vegas and the Bellagio fountains.

The Cosmopolitan is huge. There is a huge array of options to eat and drink to cater to all needs and tastes and of course plenty of gaming areas. A few floors up is the pool and outdoor area which we spent the day at on our last day in Las Vegas that has a pool side bar, Playstation/X-Boxes, and an air hockey table.

On most morning we ate at the main buffet which was excellent value and quality. For around $40 per head, you could enter and stay for as long as you like and eat from a huge array of choices ranging from standard breakfasts right through to succulent roasts and bakeries, etc. Our only advice is to get their early because the line to enter and get a table does grow quite substantially as the morning progresses - on one morning we decided to eat elsewhere away from the hotel because of the wait.

Overall, we were very happy with this hotel and would most certainly stay their again if we had a return trip.

Room Tip: It is well worth paying a bit extra to get a high room with views over the Bellagio. We were on the...

We came to Vegas for a business trip but it turned into mostly a pleasure trip by staying at the Cosmo! How this resort is rated #40 I have absolutely no idea. This is one of the top 10 resorts in Vegas. We stayed here from a Tuesday-Friday and enjoyed every second of our stay. My husband and I and another couple joined us for our stay. We had a wraparound suite on the 22nd floor overlooking the Marquee Day Club and had a view of the Belaggio Fountains. AMAZING! Our room had many amenities including a full kitchen, wine refrigerator, 2 full bathrooms, a massive bathtub, and gorgeous eclectic decorations and artwork....really everything that you could possibly want from a room on the strip. The location was ideal and close to everything. If you didn't feel like walking it was an 8 dollar cab ride to the end of the strip.

The pool was wonderful!!! We ended up doing a cabana at the Blvd. pool on a Thursday which was one of the most amazing things ever. We ate and drank like kings and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend the fish tacos and the lucky horseshoe cocktail. The lounge chairs in the pool were the icing on the cake for our afternoon naps! What a great way to relax after a long night.

All of the staff were super friendly and very helpful. They accommodated all of our needs and really went above and beyond. I cant say enough great things about the Cosmo. Seriously an amazing Resort. We will definitely be back for years to come!

Room Tip: One of the best rooms for the value is the wraparound suite. We stayed in room 2202 and loved it! Th...

Stayed for 4 nights last week with a group of friends. The hotel is one of the most chic places I've ever been. Very cool and modern. I asked to have a view of the strip and they delivered! We stayed on the 49th floor with a view of the Bellagio Fountains. No balcony, but still a breathtaking view. We spent a lot of time at the Bamboo Pool, which was lovely and had a very chill vibe (much more so than their other pools). In fact, we spent a few hours everyday there just relaxing. The Marquee nightclub was one of the coolest things I've ever done; highly recommend.
Like others have mentioned, the resort fee is a total rip off but the person working the front desk insisted that I had to pay for it despite my protests. We didn't even use the wifi. Location of the hotel is fantastic. Loved being in the center of the strip. This was my first trip to Vegas, but they certainly set the bar high. Would definitely stay there again.

Side note: I ended up leaving something in my room but didn't realize it until I arrived home. I called the hotel today. The staff (Martha and guy in Lost and Found whose name I can't remember) could not have been more friendly and helpful!

This hotel screams fabulous weekend with the girls. I went here with 6 other ladies in September 2013 for a bachelorette party and it was perfect.

We got two adjoining rooms, which worked very well. The beds were AMAZING, like your own personal cloud. Decor is very chic...we all loved it!

The location on the Strip cannot be beat, right in the middle of it all and about a $12 (or less) cab ride from anywhere you need to go.

I've been to several pool parties in Vegas, but Saturday afternoon at the Marquee pool was the most fun I've ever had. If you don't go, you're missing out.

If you are looking for an incredible girl's weekend destination (or are wanting to stay where all the girls are!), stay at the Cosmo.

I very much liked my stay at this property.
The arrival was somewhat cold with the valet guys not particularly helpful. At check in they tried to sell us an upgrade to a wraparound terrace suite which we declined. We chose the Terrace Suite because of the guaranteed view of the fountains. We got a Suite on the 52nd floor which was perfect. Loved the view.
The rooms itself was clean which was a concern prior to arriving. But no complaints there.
Only negative beeing the shower which lacks proper pressure.
Crazy thing happend. You have a minibar which also includes wine. We brought our own bottle only to find that there is no bottle opener in the room. Called room service and they brought one up. Now get this it cost $10 just to get a bottle opener. Crazy in my book but whatever.

I would choose this hotel again because of the location which can not be beat and also because of the superb suites you get for a very low price.

Room Tip: Go for the Terrace Suite they all have fountain views.

This Hotel is great location, right across the road from a great shopping mall, heaps of restaurants, and in the middle of the strip. Close walking distance to Caesars Palace and Bellagio - which is good if you are looking at going to shows. Night club is great there, and the casino isnt dated and old like some of the other hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for strip or pool view in West Wing!
