“Great Location on The Strip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

I stayed here in November '11 with my two grown up daughters on a special holiday to celebrate mine and my eldest daughter's "big" birthdays.

I chose The Cosmopolitan because of its location on the strip, it's quite central. On previous trips I'd made the mistake of staying too far out, at the edges of the strip. As it was a special trip, I upgrade to a Terrace One Bedroom - Fountain View. The room was just amazing - a large balcony with great seating, a spacious well designed room layout, comfortable beds and furniture...even a kitchen area. Clearly the highlight was the amazing views of the Bellagio fountains...we could even sit in our soaking tub and watch the display!!

The facilities within the hotel were first class for both food and drinks. It's modern, classy and beautifully presented. I would deffinately choose to stay here again and would recommend to both first time and repeat visitors to Las Vegas

Last time we're in Vegas we stayed at the Bellagio. This hotel is next to it and newer. For the same price we got a bigger room with a terrace overlooking the bellagio fountains and the strip. The room has two HDTVs, seating area, mini-kitchenette, huge walk-in shower, jet tub, spacious closet, desk, and king size bed. The decor in contemporary/modern, there's art books in the room. The hotel lobby is not too crowded, easy check in and check out, there's a people walkway going to miracle mile shops and restaurants, planet hollywood and one to Aria and Mandarin Oriental. What's good: big size room for the money, no crowds, very nice view from our room, easy access to shops and restaurants outside, kitchenette, pool and fitness center. What's bad: not much casual dining inside the hotel, cannot get a margarita in the lounge or bars due to they don't have a blender, internet access is NOT free, bed not very comfortable- too soft, no clock in the room. TIP: check your bill daily as they tend to put charges in there by mistake- once you point it out they easily correct it though. Have them take out all the items in the minibar if you don't intend to consume them to make space in the mini fridge. If you want internet- pay 15 for 2 devices/24hr or pay 25 resort fee /day for internet, all phone calls, fitness center.

The modern, trendy, funky vibe in this hotel is very cool. From the digital columns with changing displays to the converted cigaret machines into Art-o-Matic to the Katy Perry themed rooms there is a very trendy feel to this place. The food at Jaleo & Scarpetta are DELICIOUS! And the breakfast buffet at the Wicked Spoon includes an entire Asian food selection along with al already extensive buffet. We really enjoyed our time here from the Casino, to the Rooms to the Restaurant. Loved it!

Everything about the resort is fantastic. From the moment you check in to the moment you leave you are just surrounded by extravagance. The rooms are incredible. If you get the opportunity to stay in a Wraparound, do it. It just gives you an amazing experience that is not offered anywhere else in Vegas. The restaurants are just incredible. From Blue Ribbon to Milos to the Secret Pizza place, they are all well done. The Chandelier Bar is quite a spectacle to see. And of course if you are into the nightclub scene, Marquee is one of the best choices in Vegas to go to. The pools (3 options) are also great. The Cosmopolitan is as central Strip as you can get also. Easy to walk or cab in either direction on the Strip. My favorite place to stay in Las Vegas. Its expensive...but its worth it.

Las Vegas can be pretty overwhelming, especially on the Strip. Every time I visit Vegas it has gotten bigger, louder and brassier. You can't beat it for night time entertainment, even if main line shows will cost you a lot of money. The Cosmopolitan has been a player for about three years, having started life as a condo project which was transformed into a hotel-casino. The reception area is large and visually impressive. Check-in is efficient and the staff are affable and helpful. Guest rooms reflect the original condo design. Ours looked like a mini suite. It had a microwave but no eating utensils. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room. The soaker tub and huge walk-in shower were very impressive. Wi-Fi will cost you extra, as will access to the tennis courts and exercise facility. Pretty much everything will cost extra. Cosmo has a reputation as the 'in' place for the under-30 set, especially on weekends. If you're lucky you will have a room high in the east tower, overlooking the Bellagio water show. The casino floor is often a seething mass of young revelers who are loud, flashy and intoxicated. There are a bunch of restaurants on-site and the food is generally good, but typically expensive. In the 'olden' days, food, liquor and entertainment were the inexpensive lures to get you into the casino. Not any more ! If you enjoy high-energy vacations and can afford it, Vegas is the place to be and the Cosmopolitan makes a very good base of operations.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Strip, especially of the Bellagio water show.

The Cosmopolitan its a very nice hotel, the room, the restaurants, shops, location everything. My only complain is that we had a suite with fountain view and the view was lovely but the fountains very noisy! I could not sleep very well and after a transatlantic flight I really wanted to sleep, other than that this is really a very nice hotel.

Great Suite But needs to be maintained & kept up.
Loved our 1 bedroom suite & the view but surprised the rooms were not taken care of. There were soda splatter stains on the ceiling of our bathroom. The bathroom sinks would not drain. There was a big chunk of wood out of the bedroom door. The drawer under the sink was leaking & wet our clothes that were in the drawer. We also had problems with housekeeping. We were woken up our 1st morning with banging on the door even though we had the do not disturb on the door. Housekeeping & maintenance told us no one was shown to be checked into this room. We spent time getting this straight with front desk. The 2nd day we were there we were locked out of our room because although we gave a credit card at check out they lost our information. Housekeeping did not clean tub or change sheets. We had to call down for bath products several times. We were there for 7 days & we were not given bath products every day. The balcony was not tended to at all during our stay. I feel a 5 star hotel suite like this deserves more attention to details & should be well maintained.
