Owner description: Reality show Phenomenon Gerry McCambridge performs comedy, magic and mindreading live on stage! Access Hollywood calls The Mentalist “amazing!” Nominated “Best Magician in Las Vegas” and voted “World’s Best Entertainer” in his field, Gerry thrills audiences with his ability to get inside the minds of others. You won’t believe it until you see him LIVE.What makes The Mentalist an astonishing show is the high level of interactive participation as Gerry pulls random information from audience members’ minds – from their names and hometowns to their wishes, names of companions and birthdays. These mindreading skills were demonstrated time and time again on The Today Show, FX, David Letterman and a Special Report on CNBC. Nightly except Wednesday, 7:30PM. Rated PG-16.

“Girl Trip--Las Vegas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We were chosen to have our minds read......how he did it we will NEVER know. No one talks with us before, during or after the show. Not so sure about the nailguns, but surely was pure entertainment. Nice small theatre so you can see and hear everything going on. Look for discounts at your resort.

“Great Show!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We went to see the show as a family. Our daughter (21) was the first one picked to come up on stage. Gerry was pretty amazing. We knew she wasn't in on the act, so that made it that much more believable. He kept the audience engaged and on the edge of their seats.

Also, like any show at the V Theater, there are some good discounts if you look around!

“Do you want someone to read your mind???”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This was truly amazing show - Gerry McCambridge picks few from audience and tells them what's on their mind. Don't know how he does it. But it's mind boggling performance. He performs various types of mind readings - you shouldn't miss his performance. Few resorts give out free passes, also you may find coupons or half-off places cheaper tickets.

“I don't know how he does it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I got the tickets for this show at a very reasonable price of only $30. They may be more other times of the year.
The V- theatre is in the Mile High Shop area, behind Planet Hollywood, which has a self parking lot, for no fee.

The show takes place in a small theatre. I think it only held about 60-70 people, so it was always easy to see the entertainer. The Mentalist was the only one performing the entire time, well minus the few audience participants that he asked to assist him. Be warned, he may or may not call you.

I was impressed with this guy’s ability to guess or determine facts about people. It seems like the whole thing would have to be set up. But if so, that would require an inordinate amount of work, which would seem near impossible.
Whether it was all a hoax or not, you will be impressed nonetheless that he would be able to pull it off.
At one point, he literally duct tapes his eyes shut and begins guessing things about people. He brings a nail gun out at one point, aims it towards himself based on which gun he believes an audience member has selected. And at the end, people are randomly throwing nerf basketballs into small basketball hoops and he guesses which ones landed in there. But I forgot to mention, he makes his numbered selection before the event even occurs. Impressive!

You’ll have to go see it to believe it or not believe it. But either way, I can assure you, you’ll leave wondering, what the heck just happened here!!!

“Old-school act that can still impress”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

This is a good show, but probably not worth a visit on your first trip to Vegas. There are lots of better comedy/magic acts in Vegas and the mentalist is strictly middle of the pack. He does old, well worn tricks that can be a little --meh. The fact that he only did about 5 tricks didn't help either. If you are going to see a show at the V, make it their variety show.
