“What a fun place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012 via mobile

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite at check in. Room is huge and view is terrific! Very modern feel that is fun for a Vegas hotel. Great location attached to planet Hollywood and my favorite sand which shop - earl of sandwich. My only 2 complaints is the pillows in the room we not comfy - hard as rocks, and I wasn't able to use my Hilton points to stay here. The website stated that this was a non-participating hotel but when we checked in they said if you call Hilton honors then they can do it for you...not sure that info is correct but worth a shot for next time.

Thank you for providing your feedback on your most recent stay at Elara. I am delighted to communicate that our linen package has just been approved for purchase so very soon our linens will be the exact same that you are used to at all of our other properties with Hilton. You are correct that currently we are not participating in the full rewards stay program however by contacting reservations there are some options open to utilize points to pay for partial room nights and upgrades.

This Hotel is part of the Planet Hollywood and Miracle Mile shopping complex and is right in the centre of The Strip. After a day (or a week) spent in the wonderful madness of Las Vegas sites and sounds, it was so good to walk the Miracle Mile shops back to the Elara and feel immediately relaxed. Our room was great, a suite with a spa, and the floor to ceiling windows showed off the light show of Vegas beautifully. Everything was at our fingertips and we'd recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for some calmness in amongst the excitement.

Room Tip: Spend the extra and upgrade to a junior suite...it's worth it.

Nothing to complain about in terms of room comfort and the convenient location. However, a number of little incidents collectively put a bad taste in my mouth:
- Housekeeping is a bit lackluster. The back of the leather couch in my room was coated in a thick layer of dust, which I unfortunately noticed after draping my black coat on it. And there was no coffee in the room when I arrived.
- The hotel does not have a business center. Instead, if all you need to do is print a single sheet of paper you are forced to pay a minimum of $6.95 to use a kiosk in the lobby operated by a third party...which I did, only to find that the printer was out of ink. I alerted the hotel staff who were kind enough to print my page for me but said they could not give me a refund.
- The front desk does not carry sundries like spare toothbrushes or razors
- Checkout is a very early 10AM and it took considerable pleading and speaking with multiple staff to negotiate a late checkout of noon.

Other than these little gripes, I was impressed by how quiet and spacious my room was.

Traveling to Vegas on business is rarely a joy, so the little things that make you feel welcome are important.

Thank you for taking a moment to provide your feedback during your recent stay with us. I truly apologize for the hiccups you had during your stay. There is no excuse for there to have been dust or no coffee in your room and I have provided this feed back to our executive housekeeper to ensure details like these don’t continue to be overlooked. We are in the process right now of creating a business center next to our gym on the 4th floor. The remodel of this area is actually taking place right now so very soon we will provide this service to our guests. Our check out time is at 10am which is pretty standard around the city. When we are not in need of the rooms we will grant a bit later of check out to try and accommodate our guests the best we can.

We booked for a junior suite and got upgraded to 2 bedroom suite. The best suite I've every stayed at. So classy, spacious and high technology. The blinds to the glass window turns into projector Monitor, the master bedroom and the bathroom jet spa overlooks the city. The location of the hotel is superb right at the vegas strip, connected to Planet hollywood shopping mall and casino. The hotel is very well priced.

First time in Vegas and Elara. We did not mind not having a casino to cross the lobby to get to our room because we are non smokers. Great security, friendly staff, our room was over looking the parking lot at 20th floor no problem, because I can see the Eiffel tower and portion of the water show of the Bellagio, which is great at night too. The studio amenities great for us.
The centralized location near the sites we visited by walking or bus tours made us think of our next visit. We are definitely be back at Elara unless we get a better deals somewhere else. The weather was great, too bad we did not use the pool which was spacious and open still in mid October Wow. Shopping very accessible lots of selection and decent restaurant near by.

Room Tip: Quite end 20th floor, bright lites 1920 view not bad

I stayed here for three nights in mid-October. The staff could not have been more friendly. Every person with whom I interacted was very helpful. The room was super comfortable. I am a Hilton Honors gold member and they upgraded me to a bigger room. There is no restaurant on site, it is attached to the Miracle Mile shopping mall. There is no casino with the hotel so it seems cleaner than most of the others in Vegas. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the strip if it is available.

We exchanged with Interval for a week at the Elara. At the reception desk I asked for a two bedroom "corner room" suite, the person didn't know if there was one available, he advised the manager of my request and she said we could stay in the two bedroom "penthouse suite" located on the 11th floor ( which is a corner room suite )
After the long walk down the hall from the elevator ( 12 elevators in the hotel so you never had to wait ) we came to the double doors at the end. My wife opened the doors and the drapes covering the windows opened. Wow, we were astounded by the view, as the exterior walls of the Master bedroom and living area were all glass.
The windows were floor to ceiling, 95 feet of glass, fantastic view. ( Large leather couch in living area ( made into a king size bed ) Full kitchen with all the amenities of home, granite counter tops etc. The suite was decorated in the "Hollywood era", leather and chrome "director chairs", paintings of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe etc. The high definition projector displayed a very sharp 8 X 12 picture on the drapes in the living area at night. The T.V. remote could be used to utilize all the functions in the suite, which is why it is called " the Smart Room" . When we turned on the 42 inch digital T.V. in the Master Bedroom, our names were displayed on the screen welcoming us to the Elara, a very enticing touch. The king size bed was very comfortable,.( the view at night laying in bed was awesome ). The bathroom in the Master bedroom had a large two person shower, two sinks and a T.V. etc. Large Jacuzzi in Master bedroom. Very "chic" furniture throughout Master bedroom, living area and kitchen. Master bedroom very quiet at night.
The suite was immaculate, very clean, high tech. Little things like the door-bell added to the list of "novelty functions" The cleaning staff came in mid-week and offered to return the next day even though it wasn't on their regular schedule.
You step out of the beautiful lobby into the "Miracle Mile" of shops and restaurants which also connects to the casino of Planet Hollywood Hotel.( which is located on Las Vegas Blvd.) so access to the strip and all the excitement was only a few steps away. All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpfull.
When we return to Vegas the Elara will be our #1 choice!
