“Spectacular Property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Elara from July 8th-July 12th and we loved everything about this fabulous property. From the convenient location on the center strip, to being connected to the Miracle Mile mall and Planet Hollywood, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. It was great to be able to take one step out of the beautifully decorated hotel lobby/commons area right into the awesome Miracle Mile Mall/Planet Hollywood Casino! Even better was the fact that everything we needed was right there from great restaurants to super shopping (full of nonstop action).

Customer Service: The front desk clerks, security, housekeeping staff, and everyone else that we encountered were always very friendly and helpful. We were politely greeted at check in and check out and we were even allowed to check in early to a fabulous room on the 50th floor (5027). Check in and check out were totally smooth and hassle free (We booked through Hotwire, so no paperwork involved at checkout).

Room: The room had a spectacular view of the Paris hotel Eifel tower-we were speechless over the view from the floor to ceiling windows with automatic, electronic blinds. The room was clean, well equipped with a jacuzzi tub, kitchenette/microwave/fridge/sink/dishwasher/coffee maker/coffee/ plates/mugs/ utensils/dish detergent/paper towels/comfy bed and a sofa bed. We were thoroughly impressed with the room. Housekeeping cleaned the room in a timely manner and fresh towels, etc. were provided in a timely manner as well.

Security: We always felt safe on the property especially since there is a 24/7 security guard stationed at the elevator lobby entrance. I think it's great that the guard is stationed there to check room key cards to ensure that no one has access to elevators/rooms unless they are actually guests at the hotel. In addition, it was great being able to access the mall and the PH casino/strip so quickly and safely without ever having to go outside since all of the facilities are connected. It was safe for my husband and I to wake up from a nap at 2 a.m. and head out through the hotel lobby for a stroll through the mall (the mall was closed, but visitors still have access to it in order to walk to Planet Hollywood/strip). Of course, once we reached the PH casino, we were always free to open the door and step right out on the strip to head to all of the other wonderful casinos that are right there on the center strip like the Bellagio, Paris, Mirage, Caesar's, MGM, NY, etc.

We can't wait to go back to Vegas to stay at the Elara as we absolutely loved our stay at this property.

Room Tip: The 50th floor (odd # room side) room was spectacular!

Stayed for two nights in the junior suite and it was amazing! The suite was large and had everything you could imagine. Loved the big screen projection TV! The bathroom was large and even had a washer/dryer combo. Will stay again!

We didn't know what to expect from Las Vegas - arriving for just one night before flying home to New Zealand. Stumbled onto the Elara (thought it was another hotel - entering from the basement level) and it was perfect. A lovely room (immaculate, very comfortable bed, etc) with a spectacular view, fantastic pool, excellent location - and at a price we were paying to stay in pretty average motels in small towns on our cross country drive. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, welcoming - and the experience was fantastic,

We have just returned from a 3 night stay and really enjoyed ourselves. We had a 2 bed suite (it was actually a studio with a bed attached) that was fabulous. Lots of room and well laid out - everything you could wish for. The check in process was brilliant - friendly and even moved to a higher level which was a nice touch. Pool area nice - surprised at the water depth - it's pretty shallaw at 3'6" and closes at 6pm - a bit odd on both. I had conflicting advice re the cabanas - was emailed a rate of USD$500 and when I got there they were actually USD$200....not really worth it when there's plenty of loungers and chairs in the actual pool itself. Service was great and food selection nice and pretty well priced. Great location for the Miracle Mile shops - an easy walk onto the Strip - all in all a great property with awesome rooms and well priced considering the quality. Good for groups and families although the crowd around the pool was mid 20's - mid 30's mainly but still a few kids about. We loved our stay - thank you from the Kiwi family!

Room Tip: ask for high up as possible :)

We were a little worried about our reservations at this hotel because of some of the reviews here, but our junior suite on the 54th floor was amazing--floor to ceiling windows with a view over the strip, and a spotless living room, bedroom, and bathroom area. Check-in was quick and easy through the hhonors line.
We checked in on a Saturday afternoon, and the lobby was full of young adults coming and going from the pool. Once we got to the elevators, though, it appeared the hotel has figured out a way to separate its young party crowd from its business customers and hhonors guests. Almost all the "kids" were getting on the elevators going to floors 5-27; everyone else to floors 28-56. We had no problem with any noise or disruptions on our floor.
The location mid-strip is excellent, walking distance to almost everything on the strip.
--Our only complaint is regarding the security in the hotel. There is a guard standing by the elevators who is supposed to be checking room keys as guests go up. However, at busy times, many people were just walking around the line to check keys for the elevator--not stopping at all. Since the hotel does seem to have a big party crowd, they need to take this measure more seriously.

Room Tip: Rooms with odd numbers face the strip. Rooms with even numbers face the airport. If you are on a hi...

Thank you so much for providing your feedback on your stay at Elara. I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay and did want to acknowledge your feedback on the issue you had with security checking keys. This was an issue we also identified and our team is consistently trying to streamline processes for our guests to make their experience better and better. Since your stay we have installed a new key verification system so when a guest enters the elevator lobby they must insert their key to verify their registration at the hotel and then is allowed access to the elevator. This process has been extremely successful in the short time we have been doing this and our guests seem very pleased with the results thus far.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 10 nights in June. The suite was very comfortable and spacious. We had a suite on the 38th floor that had good views of the strip. For a family of 4 adults there was plenty of room to find our own space. Staff were friendly and pool area wasn't too crowded. Proximity of the hotel to the strip was great with an easy walk to PH casino or Miracle Mile shops.
Only 1 small complaint - on a couple of early mornings party goers returned home at 5am to continue their party in rooms. Even though these were on a different floor the noise was still very loud. Hotel has security at lift area but need to also monitor noisy residents.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately stay here again.

We booked three night in April , and I got it online with a booking agency just prior to the changover and it was a bargain price of $230 for the 3 nights.

When we stepped into our room on the 36th floor with a view of Paris and Bellagio my husband said HOW MUCH IS THIS COSTING ME?!!! I told him it was the cheapest accomodation we where paying for out of our entire 25 days in the states to which he was amazed!!

The room is super cool and trendy and more than we needed but hey it was amazing!
We didnt get to use the pool (it looked very nice though) as unfortunatley during the 3 days we where there a cold front was over the state and the weather was very mild

The check in was a breeze. Parking was easy too. Some reviewers have had difficulty but I reserached and found out the problems and we just drove straight into self parking up as many levels as we needed to go to get a park next to the lifts. This way we walked into the lifts and got out at Reception and just checked in. Then straight up to our room .

This hotel is very centrally located on the stip to all the mid centre hotels. First night we ate dinner and wandered around the stip and watched the Bellagio Fountains

Next night we went and saw Human Nature at Imperial Palace and this was a great show. If your looking for a good vibe energy show go see this

This was a really good experience and would highly recommend this place
