I used to highly recommend Stratta to everyone headed to Vegas, and on my numerous Vegas business trips (staying at Encore), this place was always on the agenda. The pizza was the best I'd ever had, and believe me, being from the East Coast, I've had superb wood fired pizza. I like sitting at the bar to eat. There's a pro bartender named Chris at Stratta who makes great drinks & winning food recommendations. Now for the BAD news. Without Chris, three of us sat at the bar for 15 minutes before a bartender (Sean) even looked at us- even though half the seats were empty. Luckily an older gentleman bartender came to his rescue & seemed to do all the work while Sean just took up space. Also, the Stratta menu changed, which isn't a bad thing.... but why change the recipes? To my shock & disgust, the pizza crust was paper, and I mean paper, thin and totally tasteless. The arugula salad was blah and the meatballs were so dense, they could have bounced off the floor. No joke. Even though other reviews are good, I warn you to be cautious. Don't order the pizza unless you like toasted cardboard.
