The concept is perfect for us. We came to go to shows and relax not gamble. Having a kitchen we can do our own breakfasts and lunches TIP: Vons Grocery delivers to the hotel, this was great, just use their online order site and tell them to call your cell when it arrives, also let the front desk know its coming (this way you can hang out at the pool during their 2 hour window for delivery).
I am an interior designer so the style is important to me. The hotel is beautiful, great art and the rooms and views are gorgeous. Terrific gym and spa area. Pool is nice but could use more living trees/greenery and I agree with others that the pounding loud rock was too much, for me Vdarra is about relaxation in a zen like way not a rockers hang out.
The only things that are quriously still bad after so many months of being open are the lack of signage (other than in the lobby it's confusing which elevator banks to use) and houskeeping really is VERY hit and miss, in fact that was the only real complaint, why haven't they tweaked that problem yet?!? Since we were there for more than a week it was more obvious but they forget to leave things, didn't remove garbage from beneath the kitchen sink, didn't replace glasses that they removed etc.
All said they should change their star rating from 5 to 4 (who comes up with these ratings anyway?) It was a great value for the money and if it remains a value we'll gladly return.
