“Surprisingly a terrible stay.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

We stayed at the Vdara for 5 nights hoping for a good experience but sadly it did not reach to average standards. We originally stayed here because of the good things our friends told us about their stay at Vdara, but that wasn't the case for us .The lobby smells great but thats not enough. Here are some examples of the poor service in this hotel.

-The moment we checked in we were greeted with friendly staff however while we were entering our room we found out that we were given keys for a room that was already occupied by other guests. It was so embarrassing that it felt like we were invading their personal privacy.

-House keeping was very inconsistent : room was not cleaned several times, towels were not changed. Like one night we didn't have shampoo or towels and we called for them to bring us some down to our room and , it took 2 hours+ to receive.

-The suite includes a kitchenette but with no kitchen ware or even a spoon or a knife. I understand you have to call and request for utensils but i don't want to have to call and wait for two hours to a get a fork to eat with.

-And the biggest point of all we booked for a deluxe suite with a divider/partition and we were given a different suite so we switched the room again.

All in all its a poor service and its not worth the value.
I would not recommend staying here , wasn't a very pleasant stay.

U have to valet park no matter what which I did not like that cause u don't like other people driving my truck. The service was nice and vdara suite was nice, plenty of room. Room service is expensive but what place isn't. It is very comparable to other five star hotels I've stayed at in vegas. But nothing I saw would make me stay there again, nothing was bad but at the same time nothing was over the top.

We recently visited Las Vegas for a 5 day stay to get married and spend Christmas. After much searching on TripAdvisor, we elected to stay at Vdara. Vdara is a large beautiful contemporary glass hotel a block off the strip under the Aria/MGM/M-life hotel umbrella. The Aria does not have a casino, but the Aria is just a 2 minute walk and Bellagio 5 minute walk, both with casinos. The check in on a Sunday evening preceding Christmas had a bit of a line, but it went quickly. Check in time is 3. We were there at 345, and were given the best corner suite available, but it wasn't quite ready. Teresa, who checked us in, was quite friendly and professional. She apologized for the check in delay, but provided us with a generous dining credit to have dinner, while the room was being prepared. When we finally got to the room at 530, it was spacious and well laid out. It had mountain view and limited strip view. It was a corner suite on the 26th floor. We called the front desk to see if we could get a better view of the strip. This was the only room available at the time, but the next day, they called my cell and offered us a 51st floor corner suite with an amazing view of the strip and surrounding mountains. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask and be polite to the hotel staff and they seemed to accommodate as they are able. The only negative we encountered was trying to order the dishes for the included kitchen facilities. Dishes and cookware must be ordered upon request. This sounds simple enough, but it took 3.5 hours to get a few plates, cups, bowls, and utensils after 4 phone calls and 2 semi-intense "discussions" with the housekeeping staff. We eventually got it sorted out, but it was disappointing something so simple turned into a complicated ordeal. In the long run it all worked out, however. The housekeeping service was otherwise exceptional and the service is truly 5 star. We were very pleased with the Vdara and would return here. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Try to get an upper floor with a strip view. The view of the Bellagio fountains and mountains is be...

Amazing room but pricy. The security deposits where outrageous. And for always staying free in Vegas this was a little shock. Rooms are nice if you are going to stay in the room the whole time. But as a clothing designer and 24 years old I like to get out and party sometimes. The couch bed was broken and my buddy had to sleep on the floor. The maids are great and chatted it up with them for a bit. They all need a raise. I will only stay again if I need to like I did last time for my girlfriends sisters wedding.

Room Tip: My couch bed was broken and I had to sleep on the floor. Overall great room.

We are frequent Vegas travelers, but have always stayed at a casino...but never again. This place was amazingly relaxing but yet we could take a 2 minute walk and be right into the hustle and bustle of the strip! One of the best parts was the aroma around the hotel, so relaxing, so much better then a smoky hotel. We will always have this place at the top of our list to stay in Vegas!

First visit to this property, sad to say it was below average. Checked in to room sheets were stained and garbage was full under sink and smelled awful. Had 3 guests, so needed sheets for pull-out they were not furnished upon arrival. Had to call front desk 3 times within first 2 hours to remedy the situation. In the end was compensated 1 night, somewhat acceptable but just not a great Vegas experience I know exists especially for an MGM property. I recommend stepping it way up and getting housekeeping and services in line. The view was great; other than that, very disappointed.

Vdara is always our first choice in Vegas. There are no casinos and smoking is not allowed in the hotel. In addition, the rooms are great, especially the bathrooms. Located between the Cosmopolitan and Aria, great restaurants and bars are within a 5 minute or less walk from the lobby. Rates are also very reasonable considering the type of rooms Vdara offers.
