“Mixed Advice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Great hotel if you prefer not to have a Casino in the hotel and prefer non smoking premises, this makes it great for families. Large rooms and shower separate from big bath (much appreciated after 24hrs travelling). Great little cafe on ground floor for most needs at reasonable cost and open until late.
Bring your own elec kettle/coffee maker + tea/coffee supplies.
In this case the bed was dreadful two big dips each side with lump in the middle, could hardly turn over either way. Pillows not so good either.
No guest laundry and laundry costs exhorbitant.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking Bellagio Fountain and/or Vegas Strip north facing.

I LOVED IT! i went here with my boyfriend in August to watch Celine Dion and I coulndt have asked for a better hotel. Staff was friendly, hotel and whole vacinity was super clean just like the rest of Vegas. the fact that it is a non smoking hotel, you did not get that intense smell walking in. You got the smell of spa. It was just perfect. Also due to the fact that there isnt a casino, that too minimized the people walking in and out. The ONLY thing about the hotel is that you do have to walk about a good 10 minutes to get to the strip but there are many different ways to do it. Either by outisde or connect through the Bellagio. Other then that, I can not complain AT ALL!

Room Tip: I would suggest asking for a room facing the fountains... GREAT view!

This hotel was centrally located and very clean and comfortable. The room was quite large with a very nice kitchen included. We were on the 55th floor and had a great view of the city. The beds were comfortable, the staff courteous and it had all the modern accoutrements one would expect. I liked the fitness center there and the fact that it was a non-smoking, non-gaming hotel suited me just fine, though I know that is not very Vegas like. But walk out the door and you are in the heart of all that is Vegas. I would highly recommend this place. As with any hotel stay, it seems there are always unexpected charges when the final bill comes due, so be aware of what is added daily.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the Bellagio to watch the fountains!

Vdara is very modern, stylish and comfortable. The rooms are very large and include upscale amenities. Located immediately behind the Bellagio, the two are connected via a walkway, and you can charge restaurant meals at Bellagio to your room at Vdara. While there is no casino in Vdara, that is part of its vibe and charm, and Bellagio's casino is only minutes away when the need arises. I would definitely stay here again. Although I stayed there while on business, it would be perfect for a couples weekend away and have already discussed it with my wife.

A great hotel of choice for those who seek a hotel as a island from all the smoking etc. venues of Las Vegas.
The spa is great oasis for a massage, soak in the hot tub, sauna and steam. The first attendant a older gent was very congenial and attentive. Massage was great.
On occassion the lobby bar was a great end to a day of bussiness and later as a stop to meet and greet other guests for coversation, news paper or a snack.
This hotel is clean, courteous, has security where you need it at the elevators. They greet you every so often.
I did order one breakfast to my room, which was great !

The only downside as with any large hotel on check out my I-phone charger was left in the room and retrieving at noon simply did not work out. A earlier call had this arranged but the event fell through at the front desk. Certainly not a reflection of the service.

Recommend highly for those seeking no smoking or gambling with a touch of class.

Cheers !

Room Tip: Try a room overlooking the pool. Mine was view of highway a tad bit noisy even at higher floor.

I was on a quick trip to Las Vegas for two nights and I did the mystery 5* hotel gamble on a reservation site. After all, why not gamble on your hotel in Las Vegas? The result was... Vdara. I had called in advance to find out about airport transportation and was told to just take a taxi. I'm no fan of taxi's, I'd rather have a shuttle bus or an executive car because taxis are usually such a rip-off. The taxi cost me about $40 with tip and charges. But once at the hotel, I'm told that they have hotel shuttles to and from the airport (outside vendors) that cost less than $10 each way! This is not the kind of service I would have expected from the operator when I called, she should have known the shuttle answer from many similar queries on ground transportation! So a small disappointment.
When I arrived, the hotel clerk spent a goodly part of my check-in time trying to up sell me to a more expensive suite. Here I am alone... what do I need a bigger suite for??? she offered me a suite on the 24th floor for an extra $40 a night. I said, "I'll just take the room I paid for." It turns out that my room was much higher up on the 51st floor with a great view of the city and big enough for at leas four people. I didn't like the up-sell mentality, another disappointment.
As I said, the room was very big and it was well appointed with a boutique / modern look. The bed was dreamy with big pillows. The shower was big enough for two to play in, and there was also a big freestanding tub. Another small disappointment was that the maid had put two shower gels in the shower instead of a shampoo - hardly worth mentioning.
The wi-fi is free, they must have changed their policy since other reviews mentioned they had to pay for it, though I'm not sure about the "resort fee" issue. Honestly, they didn't give me anything special to warrant an extra "resort fee."
Overall it was a very nice hotel and the final word is that I would stay at the Vdara again - but a little longer and with someone to share the room with :)! Oh, PS, it is close to two Cirque du Soleil shows, I only managed to make one, but they are always a good bet!

Vdara, part of the new Las Vegas City Center is located central to the heart of the strip; behind the Bellagio and connected without going outside. It's great for those who want a contemporary hotel, without a casino, that's comfortable and very well appointed. The other advantage is that it has a small kitchenette with a frig that you can actually put food and drinks in, rarely found on the strip. Dishes are available upon request. Bonuses are a microwave/convection oven, small cook top and complimentary water daily. It's wonderful to be able to walk into a Las Vegas hotel, step up the the mail dest right inside the doors and then find the bank of elevators to your room right behind the desk.
