“Fantastic hotel, brilliant location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Never stayed at a hotel like this! The deluxe suite was fantastic - very spacious. We had a suite on the 45th floor with amazing views of the Bellagio Fountains. The hotel was very clean and modern, and offered a good WIFI service. Location was excellent, with the hotel being in the middle of the Strip - with access to the Strip being through the Bellagio or Aria hotels. Was nice to stay in a hotel which did not have a casino - fresh smell and less hectic. We e-mailed the hotel in advance regarding a day drip to the Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam. They were extremely helpful and offered a competitive price. Would recommend this hotel, and would definitely go back on our next trip to Las Vegas.

Room Tip: We e-mailed in advance asking if we could stay in a suite with a view over the Bellagio which they w...

I stayed in the the two bedroom penthouse for my 21st! Michelle helped me at the concierge and she was sooo helpful and sweet! She went over a couple of the suites to be sure I got the suite that most fits my needs for the night. The whole staff was very professional and very nice. The room had an amazing view, and a great set up. There is a small bar that serves food in the main lobby, as well as a mini mart. Also, valet was very quick, efficient, and conveniently located. It was a great stay. And for an AMAZING price. I would expect to pay twice that amount for such a great experience.

V'dara in City Center was a very nice surprise. Just very different. Vegas is the land of smokey casino, bad neon and "binging" slot machines. Often, you have to pass through / near all of that on the way to and from your room. Not at the V'dara. A bit of relaxation after the buzz of the strip. No smoking and no casino. A very simple, small and stripped down lobby with no outsiders. My wife was VERY pleased with V'Dara and all of city center, actually.

V'dara has a nice little bar and a great little market. The lobby also had this incredible smell! (coconut/vanilla).

This was one of the best suites I've ever stayed in! I got the "Executive Corner Suite" (extra half bath). The views were very nice from all areas of the suite. Clean, luxurious, modern and comfortable. A great place to come back to. You really don't feel like staying in your room the minimum amount of time when you have a spacious suite like this.

Negatives of the suite: it had quite a few items that just weren't working properly: hand held shower head for the tub, dryer, iron, etc. Also, the lights were real funky. There always seemed to be a "master switch" in another room you had to have flipped to get the other lights working. None of this was a huge deal but they really need to ensure everything is in working order.

Positives: large, spacious, clean and classy. Glass shower, soaking tub, nice bed, nice TVs, great views, full kitchen, half bath (they need a bit more room in the half bath in case someone is getting ready in there, though - they also need a small hanging bar for towels). Nice robes / slippers, washer/dryer, dining area. Another really nice touch was the lighted sconces outside the room that displayed the room number in sorta a trendy, stylish way. Also, the suites had doorbells! Further, in addition to electronic switches for shades and blackout shades, the "do not disturb" and "housekeeping" was not left to a cheap plastic placard. You push a button and the glowing light up rim to the doorbell would turn purple, blue, green, etc to indicate to housekeeping when to come in and when not to. Letter grade: A on the suite!

Service: Overall very good (lettergrade B). The only issue was one day our room really wasn't cleaned very well at all. Glasses left, one bathroom not cleaned, etc. We called down and they corrected it. Overall service was solid. They gave me some nice choices in suites when I checked in. All staff greeted you in a friendly manner along the way. The concierge printed out our tickets for Love so I saved myself a walk to the Mirage.

Location: Plus/Minus. If you want a little solitude, it's perfect. It's set back quite a ways. To get out to the strip, you need to cut through the Bellagio, which takes a while, or through the Aria. For me, I liked the location and it's definitely in my mind "on the strip". (try "walking" from Palms, Rio, Trump, Hard Rock!).

This is not exclusive to V'dara, however, I continue to voice strong resentment to the idea of so called "resort fees" that MGM properties charge. It's bad enough it's $25 a day for virtually NOTHING but then they add an additonal $3 "tax" ON TOP OF the "fee"!! For this hefty over-charge you get the priviledge or everything Bally/Harrahs hotels offer for free (use of the pool, fitness room and other non-sense). MGM - PLEASE STOP THIS PRACTICE! If your competitors can skip this fee, you can too! (You'll note that this portion of my write-up strongly mars an otherwise very strong review....)

V'dara was an outstanding choice. Would stay here again!

Room Tip: Select the Executive Corner Suite. You'll get an extra half-bath. Also, stay floors 30+, or el...

Loving the hotel and its suits. Good house keeping and concierge. The only complaint would be the pool area. They serve food but don`t clean up for hours which leads to trash, food and cups swimming in the already cloudy water.

Room Tip: Try to get 30th floor and higher with city view

I am a 60 year old woman who came alone to get away and relax. Since I neither smoke, nor gamble, the Vdara seemed like a perfect choice. My room was a beautiful suite which was immaculate and quiet. The decor is modern. I had breakfast at the Vdara marketplace cafe and the food was good, also tried the bar for a late night snack and enjoyed the Ahi tuna. The pool is smaller, by Vegas standards, but was fine. I enjoyed a nice massage and spa experience. Prices are standard Las Vegas- $140 for the massage, breakfast was between $15-$20. This is not a cheap hotel, but a good value if you go midweek. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back again!

Wow, We spent 4 nights in this hotel for teh start of our honeymoon. It's the best hotel I've ever stayed in, absolutely everything about it was perfect.

We had a City Corner Suite (room 50006), overlooking Bellagio fountains and the pretty much the whole strip. The suite was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bed was was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, the bedding very high quality, as are the bath robes.

Check in was efficient and hassle free. Our rate from Travelbag included the resort fee.

We had room service on a couple of occassions, it's pricy but no more so than you would expect from a top quality hotel.

The deli on the ground floor is great - try the chocolate strawberries and macaroons - as are the cocktails in the ground floor bar.

We has massages in the spa which is a serine, calming place. Beautifuly appointed and great staff.

The pool is lovely, plenty of sun loungers and again great cocktails.

All in all there's nothing I can fault with this hotel. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor overlooking Bellagio

This was our third trip to Vegas, previously having stayed at Circus Circus and the Venetian. This hotel is in a great location, just off the strip but within walking distance of everything you need. There is a lovely relaxing bar and seating area in the main lobby, which is wonderful for a nice quite drink before going out. The pool area is also worth a visit or two - very relaxing, with poolside service at reasonable prices. I also had a manicure at the Spa, which was perfect - the prices are what you would expect from a 5* hotel, but was definitely worth it, I had a french tip which was very professionally applied and worth the expense.

The room we had was very modern and spacious, very comfy beds, very big and clean bathroom, nice kitchen and dining area + a small lounge area with a second TV - a reall treat deserving of a 5* rating.

The only thing I would say is that because this hotel is non gambling it lacks the wow factor of the bigger hotels - with it being non gambling, it was perfectly suited for business trips and those who would prefer the quieter side of things - however, as mentioned it is a 2minute walk to everything you need, i.e. shops, gambling, restaurants etc. Also, and this isn't the hotel's fault - we were woken by building work a couple of times, so it may be worth asking when allocated your room if this is possible - I assume it's always possible in a place like Vegas that is constantly building, but worth checking if you are light sleeper!

Room Tip: As mentioned, check about any local building work - but I would always recommend with any hotel to t...
