“A Little piece of heaven in Sin City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

As soon as you enter the Mandarin, you are surrounded by elegance and beauty. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed having the view of the strip laid out below us, as well as being able to curtain it out with a press of a button. We were fortunate enough to have dinner at "Twist" (Pierre Gagnaire, Mandarin Oriental) and it was one of the best meals we've had in quite some time.
The hotel staff was tremendous. They went out of their way to provide excellent, professional service from the very first inquiry all the way to following up after we returned home. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you MOLV for making our experience perfect.

Room Tip: Splurge on an upper floor strip view room if you can.

Vegas is great but going back to the Mandarin is perfect in such a busy city. MO is classy, upscale, with top notch service, decor and rooms/views that are fantastic. MO Bar has great views and drinks. Would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Can't imagine a bad one.

After staying here in Vegas , I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sin City. I loved the fact that its right in the middle of busy Las Vegas but the second you enter the hotel it has a calm and relaxing feel to it, and you're not coughing due to vast amounts of cigarette smoke like at the other hotels. The staff were amazing, always asking if we need anything and booked all of our dinners for us. They were very helpful and kind. We stayed in the Dynasty Suite, which was amazing. It had amazing views of the strip, a living room, bar , AMAZING master bathroom , huge closet space, a very large kitchen area, dinning room, and a smaller bathroom when you walked in. It was so beautifully decorated. Such amazing detail . The bed was extremely comfortable. All the room service food was wonderful. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a bottle of Clique and chocolate covered strawberries which I thought was very generous and kind of them. I would defiantly recommend staying here. We can't wait to go back

This is a great hotel with wonderful people working to make it the best in Las Vegas. No smoking and no casino make it a hotel for a different crowd. It is expensive but worth it.We have stayed in many hotels all over the US and the world and would classify this in the category of a 5 out of 5.Major casino very close to the hotel if you need to try your luck. The location is very good ,walked and took tram to the other hotels. This is one hotel I would definitely recommend. The breakfast is excellent but expensive, tea lounge was a treat in a tranquil area, pool and cabanas were also a delight. This hotel is perfect.

From the moment I entered the hotel, I experienced a sense of calm. The low lighting, simple yet elegant Asian-inspired decor, music, and the fresh scent everywhere made this hotel a feast for my senses. I am not including photos because the current traveler photos are accurate and complete.
The staff I encountered throughout the hotel was friendly, attentive, yet not hovering (which I like). The room was every bit as lovely as I had hoped with every 5 star amenity I expect (robes, slippers, large tub, wonderful toiletries, large spaces, beautiful strip view, fine linens, large bathroom, magnifying mirror, and even a jewelry box! There is a valet closet which has access in the hall, so if you send out your laundry, shoe shining, etc you put it in your valet closet in the room, press the valet button, and it is picked up from the hall without any room interruption. Any special requests (hangers, newspapers, etc.) are delivered this way, too. The room electronics could be controlled from the tv screen or wall. Everything from the blinds to lights to room temperature could be controlled on the one screen.
The mini bar and the MOzen restaurant had great selections, but expect 5 star prices. Service at the restaurant was efficient and friendly. We had breakfast there daily. I spent two days at the pool and really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and young, but very attentive. About every 15 minutes someone brings by some cool treat (ice water, frozen grapes, smoothie samples). I also ordered from the pool menu and loved the vegetable wrap so much I had it both days.
The spa was excellent. I spent time in all the water features they have available and loved all the beautiful views. The showers, the pools, the warm beds, the steam room were all spotless and wonderful. These features are available to you all day that you have a treatment, or for $60 per day. I had a Mandarin manicure and pedicure which was given by two nail techs at the same time. It was heavenly.
I took one of the hotel yoga classes one morning in the studio with some of the best views of the city. The instructor was very knowledgeable and inspiring, but willing to work with all levels. There were just 3 of us in the class.
My only challenge on the entire stay was with housekeeping. Although the room was spotless and always well cleaned, their time was totally unpredictable and even a problem. The first day the room was cleaned just before 4 pm, which I find late. The next day we had to call at 4:30 to ask where they were, and they came soon after, but that meant that our relaxing time before getting ready for dinner was shot. To add to that, 20 minutes after they left, the doorbell rang again and they asked if we wanted turn down service. I declined and later that night when we got home (midnight) there was a phone message saying that if we wished turn down later, just call. Needless to say we didn't, but we did let the desk know at checkout of these problems. I know nothing about hotel management, but it seems like there should be a better way to keep track of where housekeeping is working and when.
I loved this hotel and would stay again, but would call housekeeping ahead to get an approximate time of service, in order to plan for other activities/showers/naps, etc.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room on the registration form and was given one. It's great to know that so...

After spending time in casinos and walking on the Strip, it was such a pleasure returning to the calm of the Mandarin Oriental. It is a no smoking property and does not have a casino, but it has an excellent location with a major casino steps away. There is a beautiful bar on the 23rd floor, lovely pool, gym and spa on the 8th floor, and a cafe on the 3rd floor with delicious food. The rooms are well appointed with good lighting, a very comfortable bed and other well designed furniture. Everything___lights, draperies, TV, music, etc. are remote controlled and very intuitive to use. The safe is installed in a drawer with the capability to charge your computer while it is being safely stored. In lieu of the usual Bible found in hotels, they have a list of religious and philosophical books that are available in their library that cover most faiths and persuasions. There is incredible attention to detail. The staff is excellent. We were checked in by Jamie who was very personable and kind and that attitude continued until our departure. It was a wonderful stay that made our visit to Las Vegas memorable and relaxing.
