We decided to book our wedding at Wee Kirk O The Heather after reading some good reviews. We went there straight after picking up our wedding licence and booked the $125 package for the following day at 6pm. On the day we were 10 minutes late as our taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong end of Freemont Street and we had to walk very fast to get there which made us a bit sweaty!! However this wasn't a problem although I did feel a little rushed. The exterior of the chapel is more quaint than the interior which looks like it has not been updated since 1940 and is quite tatty but this just made it more enjoyable for us as we quite liked the cornyess of it all. The staff were all very nice if a little too OTT with the niceness!
The ceremony itself took about 5 minutes but the pictures took about 25 minutes so by the time he had finished having us pose in the most cheesiest positions we needed a stiff drink!.
The next day we went back to choose our pictures and we just chose 6 pictures which were included in the package as the other 666 pictures were excrutiatingly cheesy and expensive (it was quite hard to think over the very loud love song which was playing in the background!). I would not change where we did the deed as all in all it was good fun.

Firstly I want to say Thank You to the wonderful staff at The Wee Kirk O' the Heather. They made us feel like part of the family and were so helpful right from the first email I sent asking all the how - where - and what do we need to bring question's. From the moment we walked in they took care of us, walked us through the service explained what was going to happen, everything was done with so much care that it made our special day even better. The photo's that were taken are amazing, and the photographer made you feel so relaxed that it was really enjoyable. Íf you need anthing just asked Lyn, and she will do her best to just make it happen. People were very accomodating, elvis was terrific, tons of fun, received pictures immediatley, prices reasonable, great way to renew your vows!

The chapel is cute and attractive, and inside has flowers and good subtle lighting.
The wedding ceremony went very smoothly, with the chapels staff taking full care of us. The minister and photographer were both friendly and professional in every sense of the word. The whole ceremony (civil) took about 10 minutes, the photographs about 20 minutes.
I would hearterly recommend this wedding chapel for your wedding. They have been there since 1940, which kinda suggests that they might be doing it right.
