“From A local!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2011

Being a local, there are certain places we like to frequent & recommend to our friends & family who ask, "Where's a good place to stay in Vegas?" The Paris is centrally located on the strip, in the middle of everthing. We always request a room on the SW or WW wing facing the strip. These are "Premiere" rooms with a view. There is an upcharge for them, however, consider that the view you get is worth much more than the upcharge. You will be facing the Bellagio and their famous fountain without paying the extremely high price for a strip view at the Bellagio which range upwards of $1000/night for a regular non-holiday weekend night. The Le Creperie is fantastic to walk-up, order & take back to the room. Also, in the Le Café Ile St. Louis is the best french onion soup.

My fiance and I visit Las Vegas yearly. Each trip we try to stay at a diffent hotel. Searching all the popular travel sites and picking a thrusday start date, We were able to get a great combo. deal. Paris is located middle of the strip, with access to many casions. There is a great pastry shop down stairs for breakfast snacks, coffee and sandwichs. We found the buffey to be very good, great seating atmosphere, The basic rooms are nice. I admit there are lots of cheaper places to stay, but for a 4 star hotel, we really liked this place. Hope this is helpful. pssss. (the slots are looser next door at Harrahs) which has a connecting inside passage.

Room Tip: Travel during the week, look for combo deals, check clarkhoward.com for tips and deals

Stayed there for 6 days as part of a girls’ long weekend to see Barry Manilow. Main reason we chose Paris was because that is where Mr. Manilow performs (great show!) and we got a nice rate. This is a very nice hotel unless you like waiting 15 minutes for hot water. This happened throughout our stay, the first full day (Thursday) of which we were without water at all for several hours because they had it shut down to work on. We called maintenance early on Friday but don’t think they ever came. We then complained to the front desk, whose response was “oh, that happens all the time, we never know what floor it will occur on.” They offered to change our room but couldn’t guarantee we’d have hot water. What really bugged us is that they just didn’t seem to care; a coupon for a free meal at one of their restaurants would’ve been a nice token of “sorry for your inconvenience” but they didn’t even offer that. My roommate and I both complained again at checkout but no one seemed to care. Next time we’ll stay at one of the other many hotels nearby where we will hopefully have hot water without having to run it for so long.

I stayed here originally in August 09, and knew immediately I would some day have to return with my Mother - who is an absolute Paris fanatic. She loves the real city and I was hoping to spark a little more excitement for her upcoming trip to the real thing.

Originally we were unable to book for the first night we would stay, and after ringing and booking (having been given a room for the first night at the Planet Hollywood right next door), we were emailed a confirmation of our stay - the whole thing at Planet Hollywood! I was utterly dismayed, this wasn't at all what I asked for!
After another international phone call, we were given a very sincere apology and they managed to find us a room for the entire stay. We booked a Red Room Premier, and due to the clumsy mishap during the booking, we were consoled with a room on the 25th floor, overlooking the pool & tower.

Once we arrived, check in went very smoothly and they had indeed kept their promise of the room with a view. My Mother was amazed and incredibly happy!
The room itself was very nice, nice bathroom, standard terrible shower head but very nice beds. My Mother has a difficult time sleeping in most hotels due to her bad back however this was not a problem at all!

Our fridge wasn't stocked with any minibar items however we were able to use part of it without incurring any fees, which was a nice addition - last time I visited we had no spare space at all!

The internet was a little issue, I connected using the cable however despite following all instructions my computer was not able to see the connecting page. I was able to persevere with wifi, which was better than nothing.

The entire Caesar's network of hotels/casinos touts a no resort fee policy, which is true - anything you want additionally is an additional cost (a novel idea!). This meant daily internet charges however they weren't too bad considering my love of the web.

A fantastic little side note - we were having issues with baggage and the airlines we chose, and were hoping the hotel could help us with some scales. As it turned out, the lady in the business centre was more than happy to accommodate our request and opened up the security door to let us use her package scale. Thank you for the kind help, it was incredibly handy for our trip home!

Overall, PLV has a very charming french-esque atmosphere with some great little eateries and restaurants to boot (my Mother particularly loved the Eiffel Tower shaped daiquiri bottle!). The smoke throughout the casino became irritating to walk through each day, but we didn't mind so much when the rest of the hotel was so wonderful.

The Paris hotel is a great place to stay especially in the summer when it is so hot because you have inside access to Ballys and the Monorail. The casino isn't my favorite but there are lots of good places to eat and because it is a little smaller - it is not as hectic. The rooms are very nice.

When we checked in, I mentioned that it was a major anniversary for us. The gentleman at the desk asked if we wanted to upgrade at a minimal cost. That got us a beautiful room, higher up with a view and access to a special room with food and drinks. How sweet is that? It made our stay that much more special.

My 24 year old daughter and I spent two nights at the Paris Hotel last weekend. We arrived around 9:45 p.m. and I was surprised to see a line on arrival. We stood in line for about twenty minutes and the check in process went smoothly. We were given a standard room with a view of the pool and the Tower. (We asked for a complimentary upgrade and were told that the hotel does not offer them.) The hotel is very well appointed with (reproduction) antiques and is quite lovely. That being said the housekeeping staff coup step up their efforts a bit! There was bubble gum on the floor in the bathroom the entire time we were there. When they "cleaned the room" all they really did was make the beds and wipe out the sink in the bathroom. None of the trash was removed and the carpets were not vacuumed. The beds were comfortable so we did sleep well. We ordered room service several times...the prices are fairly high and they add a $5 delivery charge. We also ate in one of the hotel's restaurants, "Mon Ami Gabi". Lunch for three (two sandwiches and a quiche, two mimosas and a latte) was $100. The waitstaff here was very cordial. We got drinks from several of the bars and found the bar staff to be quite unfriendly and short with us. All in all, not a BAD place to stay but I think I would stay somewhere less expensive next time and use the money saved to have some more fun!
