“Great margaritas and food is great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2010

Loved the pomgranate margaritas it is apparent that the food is homemade and they take great care in the preparation of the food and drink. I loved the fish tacos and the green corn tamales.

“Best Vegan Mexican Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2010

See review and photos for vegan foods there: http://rikaphotography.com/2010/10/17/top-chef-master-susan-fenigers-border-grill-mexican-restaurant/

It was the only restaurant that my partner and I loved to eat at in Las Vegas, especially for a vegetarian and vegan diet. The service was wonderful when a waitress told us that they can customize vegan tacos, which was amazing. Tortilla chips with three diffferent salsas are great, make sure you try the "Haberno" one, which is an exceptional salsa.

The red and green rice side dishes are flavorful (slightly salty but delicious still) while their guacamole is to die for. I like how fresh the guacamole is without too much onions in it and it's not that chunky :) but it's overall creamy. Vegan tacos are tasty with garnish herbs and wild mushrooms (sauteed).

Pink lemonade (Freshly made) is a must to try especially on sunny days. Outdoor seating is calm and comfortable.

It would be better to eat there when the service is not too busy (meaning it shouldn't be crowded at that time).

“Good but over priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2010

It was the first place we ate upon arrival to Mandalay. It had outdoor seating which was nice. Wait staff was great.

But...we had lunch with two drinks. Tax+tip = $100. For a lunch. Not worth it. Convenient on premises, but not worth it. Cuban pork sandwich was great. but not worth the price. nuff said.

“Over-priced and not up to much”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2010

Ignore the hype, save your cash and eat elsewhere. The food is over-priced and poorly presented.

“The finest quesadilla I have ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2010

Two great meals here. Great margaritas with agave nectar, amazing chicken quesadila, creamy but-not-too-creamy guacamole. Very pleasant service. Nice view of the Mandalay Bay pool at night. Highly recommend.
