“Worked out really well”

Just came back from a 4-night stay at Bally's and we are completely satisfied. Location is great. Quick access to Paris and parking garage. We were given a renovated room in the North Tower and it was more than sufficient. The building overall is showing some age, but not to the extent that it negatively impacted our stay. Would recommend the hotel, as long as renovated room is available.

“Great Value”

We were upgraded to the newly renovated rooms, so this review may not apply to the older rooms.

This hotel offers a great value in my opinion. We paid approximately $50 a night, which was the lowest available price on the strip. I was extremely impressed with the size of the rooms. The room was very clean.

The hotel is also in a prime location on the strip. We did not need to use public transportation or a taxi except for the airport. We walked everywhere we needed.

The restaurants that are in the Paris side of the hotel were also excellent!

“Very poor...hidden charges never again”

We were their to celebrate the double wedding so a total of six adults in late November 2008.
When we arrived the reservations were wrong for all three rooms booked and after some discussion we were able to pay $100.00 per couple for a room upgrade. Room was large enough and the windows were still dirty (see previous review). We have stayed in many hotels worldwide as well as several in Vegas and I must say we were disappointed in Ballys. This hotel is a "nickel and dime" operation charging guests extra for every service and convenience. Want wine glasses in your room (standard everywhere else) that is $2.00 per glass. corkscrew...another $2.00! If you stay for a few days, they may get around to cleaning your room by 7pm. Don't expect much though...just clean towels. Never again for us!

“Good Stay for a Great Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2008

Checked in on the 16th Nov, 5 mins in line at 2.30pm. We had booked through the Hot Deals section using our TRC from previous trips weekdays $40 weekends $90, these rates were secured by keeping an eye on the rates and calling to amend when they fell.
I knew that our room rate was for a South Tower room, which I would be happy to take even though the rooms are very dated they are large and if you can get a high odd numbered room offer great views I really wanted the North Tower and the coverted coffee maker.
Lady at check in confirmed we were booked for the South Tower, I asked about a North Tower room and was quoted $20 per night, we had 12 nights booked so I declined and just asked for the best ST room she had available. The best was a low floor probably looking over a garbage can after an 11hr flight I smiled again and said thats ok whatever you can give us, we need to wash and sleep. At this point I don't know whether she took pity on me or saw that I was going to tip her for being so pleasant despite what room we got, our keys were given to us with a smile I thanked her and she leaned over and said you have your NT room.
OK NT rooms are large, quiet & some have coffee makers. For a hotel of its age at least with this tower you feel that someone has touched the room since 1970. Maid service excellant, no noise for any of the 12 nights while we were there. It is still a basic room just a little touch fresher that the south tower. I love the couch and the desk area, shower was good and our room did not have a coffee maker but a request to housekeeping and it was there.
I must say this was our worst gambling trip ever, Ballys killed me in quick time, no play whatsoever for my money. Got killed everywhere even trying local casinos.
I cannot count gambling loses into the room evaluation though. Please if you are thinking of staying here use your brain, look at the hot deals, keep an eye on the rates. And remember what you are getting, a hotel built in the 1960's that is central strip with larger than average rooms.

“Lack of slots”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2008

I booked Ballys on last minute.com, I was upgraded upon arrival. The room was good, the 25th floor, the windows need washing. With my saying this, I travel to LV many times throughout the year, I have most likely offended someone in their heirachy to receive offensive window treatments (dirty), I have stayed in many places in Vegas.
