After visiting the Suncoast last year for dinner and a bit of gambling while visiting friends in Summerlin, we decided to stay here for two weeknights in September as part of a West Coast trip. It was very convenient for what we wanted as neither of us are big gamblers and were not interested in being on the Strip since were were not there for entertainment or shopping.
The room were big and clean with a comfortable king size bed. Included in the rate of $55 was a breakfast and dinner buffet. Breakfast was pretty good with numerous choices; we did not have a chance to take advantage of the dinner but did have late night drinks and appetizers at the TGI Fridays there at the happy hour rate. There is a nice pool with a grassy lounging area, however, the sun does not appear on that side of the building until mid afternoon so it was a bit cool until then. There is also a outdoor hot tub up the stairs from the pool area which felt good after the pool.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.

I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Stayed here for 3 nights in september, really loved this hotel, about 10 miles from the vegas strip, but would sooner be in this area then the strip, it's quite small compared to those big strip hotels, but that suited us better, the staff are very friendly, and the rooms are lovely and spacious, the pool area is small but never overcrowded. The area is very nice with plenty of shops & restuarants nearby. The casino is small & friendly other reviews comment about the smoke in the casino but we didn,t find it that bad & we are non smokers.
Check in was a breeze & to get a box of chocolates each, I thought that was a lovely touch.
I would certainly choose this hotel again if we were ever in the vegas area.

The Sun Coast is the host hotel for the USTA Women's 4.0 Nationals tennis championships in Las Vegas. I would not recommend this hotel for the following reasons: Pool doesn't get sun until 5 PM. "High End" Steak House on site has really mediocre food. Smoke in the casino- which you have to walk through to reach the elevator to the hotel rooms- is ridiculous. Sun Coast really needs to update their rooms and the ventilation system in the Hotel. If my team ever makes it to Nationals again, I will strongly advocate staying at the Marriott located directly across the golf course.

Suncoast is a nice place to stay in the residential area way way off the strip. I went there on business, so sightseeing wasn't on my agenda so this was fine with me. Rooms are roomy and cozy, comfortable pillowtop mattresses. The A/C was weak being a small central unit in the wall rather than the typical large boxes most hotels have by the window. On the third day, noticed that both the sink and the shower clogged. When I was done with my shower, I was standing in a foot of water. The sink never was stayed clogged after brushing my teeth. Nice huge flatscreen TV, although I barely spent any time watching any TV.

Wireless internet is available but unfortunately not free. The cell reception around the hotel is spotty for my carrier (Tmobile) as I noticed at times that my coverage would at times just drop and I couldn't make calls at random places in the hotel. I was talking to a friend that lives in Las Vegas who said that nothing in hotels there are free anymore, so maybe that's just for granted. I noticed that postage stamps for letters cost $1 each, which just seemed ridiculous to me.

Aside from all that, the rate I got was reasonable and the room was clean. Bathroom was very wide open for a hotel. Good place to sleep and stay for business.

We stayed at Suncoast to see friends who lived nearby. I have two school aged children, and the casino part of the hotel was unavoidable because it is located on the first floor. The rooms were clean and relatively large with a spacious bathroom. I was worried that our non-smoking room would smell of cigarette smoke but it did not. In-house restaurants okay but pricey. The pool was nice for the kids to go out for a swim but there is no shade.
