“Bide a couple of hours here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Off the beaten path (not near the strip) so locals frequent this casino close to Summerlin. The buffet is excellent and our large group was well tended. A few snuck out to nearby tables to gamble a bit without missing much of the conversation-catch up beat. Ample parking in a garage. Across the street is an upscale shopping district for those who want to stroll.

Subject: Suncoast Hotel and Casino
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, North America

A stay at the Summerlin-situated Suncoast Hotel and Casino is a great way to enjoy the beauty and quality of Las Vegas without the noise, hustle and congestion of the Strip. Let a hotel bus take you downtown when you want, but kick back and enjoy one of the most comfortable, reasonably priced, perk-laden quality accomodations in all of Las Vegas. Situated in the colorful Northwest, a stone's throw from spectacular Red Rock Canyons this terrific resort is nestled amidst golf courses, Marriott resorts and retail shopping plazas just off the Summerlin Parkway at the corner of Ramparts and Alta. Parking is easy. The reservation desk is a quick stop. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable: ample and soothing beds, large flat-screen TV, double sinks, power shower, easy chair, multiple plug-desk, and all the little amenities for bath, shower, coffee and the like. You'll need to ask for a small refrigerator, however.

Seven restaurants are available from a 24-hour cafe to a TGIF to a small but friendly and well-stocked buffet to upscale steak houses, Italian faire and sushi/oyster bar provide fine food. Everything here is much more intimate than the strip without sacrificing quality.

No, its nowhere near the Venetian or the Bellagio experience but neither are the prices. I joined their on-line club booked and received weekday rates of $34 a night for two queen beds, free internet (high speed) two tickets for two at their delicious buffet, use of fitness facilities and pool and free parking. The daily hotel fee for all this is a staggering...$5. Wonderful.

The casino is standard with a variety of daily perks, room upgrades for those who spend and, of course, free bar service to keep you playing!

The locale is terrific with easy access to the Strip, the West and North ends of the area. The atmosphere is relaxed but fun. Plenty of shows in the lounges and lots of shops to explore in the small shopping centers on Alta around the casino. Whether you are planning a business trip, a golf outing, a base for exploring Red Rocks or Mt. Charleston and still want access to the Strip and lots of local fun, you just can't beat Suncoast.

Room Tip: All good as far as I know.

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback regarding your stay. We must apologize that your experience with us was unsatisfactory; this is not in line with our usual high service standards. Your comments have been taken into consideration. In the future, we encourage you to bring this to our attention immediately so we can rectify the situation promptly. Please know that all of our 9 restaurants are non-smoking, however, you are right, we do have some restaurants that are open air to the casino where smoking is permitted. Also our pool and Jacuzzi do close seasonally and reopen approximately March 1, weather permitting. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know of our shortcomings. If it were not for guests like you, we would not be able to improve our service. Again, thank you for your review and we look forward to your future stay.
Sincerely, Suncoast Hotel Management

The hotel is in beautiful north west Las Vegas away from the crowd and the strip ,plenty of room to park and for the golfers the golf course is adjacent to the hotel ,you can see the course from your room and golfing is year around. The rooms are beautiful brand new and very clean providing a small fridge and coffee ready to be brewed. The casino is about the same as the strip but not as crowdy. The buffet is nice and the food is good but very simple .For lunch and dinner the menu is about the same this is during the week and for the week end the price does not change much and sometime if you are playing lunch maybe free. If you like wine a bottle will cost you $ 7.00 nice deal. Hotel checking or checkout the service is poor close to be rude ,I did not get any help to find the elevator and my room a smile goes a long way.In the casino the service is poor also you may have to wait a long time before you get a drink when you are playing .At the restaurant it is OK.

Room Tip: Always chose at least the second story and up otherwise the slot machines maybe noisy

If you are not attached to the Strip and all of the activity and humanity associated with the Strip, then you would be hard pressed to find a better value for your hard earned dollar. The buffet is NOT as enormous and varied as some of the more famous hotels but it is MORE than adequate and very tasty. For the price, 9.99 @ dinner, it cannot be beat. The rooms are very large, extremely comfortable, beds are top notch. The hotel is very clean. The only negative, and this is not limited to the SunCoast Hotel, is that cigarette smokers are all over the casino. The hotel is nicely located off off Charleston and very close to Red Rock Canyon. A very good stay!

Room Tip: Be sure to shop the hotel website before you book. I found an amazing price that included free inter...

Stay'd here in June 2012 was a lovely location in Las Vegas and very helpful staff throughout the trip. The only trouble we had was when we tried to have the internet access for the day we just kept running into problem after problem with it and in the end we gave up, the upside was the hotel staff were happy to refund the fee straight away without any arguments. On site eating was a nice selection with food round the clock as to be expected and an abundance of parking. I would advise using the multi-story car park if your staying here as even there the car becomes unbearable hot during the day. While this hotel is about 10--15mins drive from the strip it was nice to be away from the bustle but close enough to jump right in it from time to time.

If you're visiting the region and don't want to stay on the strip, this is a great value. It's clean and bright. A lot of nice restaurants and shopping in the area. Definitely not the strip experience, but very nice and affordable place to stay.
