“Fabulous Weekend Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

The SpringHill Suites Las Vegas Convention Center is a great weekend location when the strip hotels are pricey or if you want a non casino property. If you have stayed at other remodeled/newer SpringHill Suites the rooms will be familiar. If you haven't stayed before, the rooms are above average and very modern. It is nice to have a separate sitting area. Also, the hotel has free wireless internet and does not charge that pesky resort fee the strip hotels do (so you save an average of $20/night).

The hotel is located right across the street from the LVH. You can easily access the monorail from the LVH station. Also, it is a short walk to Circus Circus or the Riviera. The hotel also provides scheduled transportation to the strip if you desire.

The breakfast was way above average for a SpringHill Suites. They had nice options like fresh strawberries with chocolate hazelnut spread.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with a strip view room.

Staff is GREAT - helpful, friendly and very "Marriott" in their attitude towards service. Hotel is clean, modern and pleasant. Not on the strip but that is what I like about it's location. Request an odd numbered room for a strip view but don't expect much in ways of view... but odd numbers will face the lights of Vegas. Large workout room with good equipment for SpringHill level hotel. Fun but basic pool on roof of hotel. Good place for families.
But again - staff is fantastic.

Room Tip: Odd numbered room face the lights of Vegas. Request high floor.

Green Features: I hate this question/comment area. Of course they do their best at helping the environment but they need to run a business and keep a solid hotel / profit.

Came by the other night and the property was pretty impressive, considering that it was squeezed in between LVH & Riviera.

The property is on the newer side and they do have a secured parking lot for the first ~6 floors and the rooms are the next ~20 floors.

The lobby is modern, inviting with very tall ceilings. Check-in was friendly by the agent.

The suite itself was pretty good, except that one of the glasses were dirty and the shower had an issue with drainage...

The suite has 2 sinks along with a microwave and mini fridge. There is also a sofa bed that can sleep an additional 2 people!

WiFi is free and the highlight of the stay is probably the complimentary breakfast which consisted of eggs, sausages, waffles etc.

If you're in Vegas for a trade show, you don't want all the crazy night life of the strip keeping you up. This hotel was just far enough away that we were out of the craziness but close enough to be a 5 minute cab ride to either the airport or the strip.
Breakfast was good ... not the superstar buffet that you might get at Circus Circus but it was good and fresh.
Best part had to be the roof top pool and gas fire pit. It had great views all the way around and the fire pit is a great place for an evening gathering above the streets and it's just cool to be able to swim 15 stories above the ground.

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites while at a convention across the street at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The staff at the hotel was fantastic. The front desk staff, bar/restaurant staff and especially the gentleman that drove the hotel's shuttle van were very friendly and professional. The room was always clean and comfortable and the 24 hour fitness center and guest laundry were a plus.

The breakfast buffet was always fresh and clean and the choices plentiful.

It is a short walk to the Las Vegas strip or the shuttle will drop you off at the beginning at Fashion Show Mall.

The next time I am in Las Vegas I plan on staying at the SpringHill Suites again; wonderful place.

This is a great location if you have business at the convention center. It's a five minute walk and you're there. If you want access to the strip, you'll have to walk 10-15 minutes.

The rooms are spacious enough and overall a pleasant alternative to the typical LV hotels (no gaming or smoking). The free internet is reasonably speedy.

My only gripe was that the breakfast service was closed off by 9:30am, even on the weekends. I can understand on weekdays, perhaps. But almost every hotel I've ever been to keeps their breakfast open past 10am (sometimes up to 11am) on the weekends. It was a huge disappointment to come down at 9:35am on a Saturday and see it closed off.

Leif D,
Thank you for sharing feedback from your stay at SpringHill Suites Las Vegas. We always appreciate hearing from our guest on positive feedback, as well as opportunities for improvement. I sincerely apologize for any disappointment you experienced with the breakfast service, although this is the standard of service hours throughout the brand. The hotel is working to enhance the offering of services, including breakfast options and hope to have this in place prior to the beginning of the year. Please know we will take your comments into consideration for improving our guest experience. We value you as our guest, and we hope you'll have an opportunity to visit us again soon. Thank you once again for writing.

Sincerely,
David Nilemo, General Manager

We were catching an early flight in the morning, and we asked about the shuttle service to the airport. Turns out, the shuttle came every hour, but if you didn't call them the night before, they would drive on down the highway without you. Apparently, it was an outside server, that came down the highway, and if no one was outside waiting, you'd have to wait another hour or find another source of transportation. As a result, we had to drop off our rental car the day of the flight, instead of the night before. The rooms themselves were fantastic, which is the only reason why this rating is not a terrible. Our flight was early enough that we had to eat breakfast at the airport, because breakfast hadn't opened yet [?]. You would think that they would open breakfast a little earlier for people who live on the other end of the country(cough cough..us), have longer flights home (....us), and need earlier flights so we don't have to take a night flight (hmmm...us). The looks barely make up for the TERRIBLE and NON-LOGICAL shuttle service. If you have early flights out of Vegas, DON'T STAY HERE!

SumBug82,
Thank you for writing. We appreciate your feedback and sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay with the shuttle and breakfast service. While the hotel offers options of shuttle services for guests needing transportation, this is not affiliated with the hotel and not controlled by the hotel team. Breakfast offerings and times are consistent throughout the brand, and we apologize your flight was earlier than the complimentary offerings were available. Your feedback is important to us as guest satisfaction is our highest priority. Please know we will take your valuable comments into consideration for improving our guest experience. We do hope you'll consider staying with us again in the near future. Thank you again.

Sincerely,
David Nilemo, General Manager
