“OK for a snack and beer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2015 NEW

I visited House of Blues twice during a stay at the Mandalay Bay. Once for a burger and beer on an evening and once late afternoon for some appetisers and a drink. On both occasions service was quick and friendly.
Price is OK and even better during Happy Hour which is worth checking out.

“Gospel Brunch so-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2015 NEW

I was hoping and expecting some good old gospel music; and only recognized one hymn (Down by the Riverside). Although the 4-5 singers were certainly enthusiastic, I did not recognize a lot of the music. Not a lot of preaching which was OK, but there was a fair amount of time not spent on music and instead spent on birthdays, anniversaries, dances with the birthday folks, asking for applause every 10 minutes or so. (Give it Up For the singers, the musicians, the servers, the chefs, etc. etc.) Brunch was only fair. Chicken tenders were overcooked and tough. Not enough plates. I would probably not go again.

“Fun place for food 'n music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2015 NEW

We were glad that we had our hotel make reservations for us here, as the place was fully seated! We arrived right after getting out from the Michael Jackson ONE 7:00 PM show. We were in the restaurant section, and not in the full music hall...but we still had live music, and it's a popular, more casual spot! The stage was placed in the room well, and fortunately the musicians' music was not too loud....table conversation entirely possible! Food was more reasonably priced here, and still very good. As a vegetarian, I was pleased with the options from their main menu....and only realized after our visit that they have a full-fledged Vegetarian Menu! So if you are vegetarian, be sure to ask for it, as it doesn't get mentioned automatically at the table. Fun atmosphere, fun meal!

“Fun late night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2015 NEW

We stood at the bar by the bartender's station. We had good service. The two piano players were unbelievable. This is probably the best entertainment I found in Vegas.

“Great food at reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2015 NEW

Although the hostess stand needs to keep a better check of who has been seated and who has not, our server Bryan dud a great job of making recommendations and getting us out in time for our show.
