“Great place but does the in room fridge need to be so big and noisy?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2009

I wanted to try out this new brand as I try to be eco friendly in my life. We arrived very late 01.00, but were quickly checked in and slept well, but the in-room kitchen area does have a ridiculously large fridge freezer which we found noisy. The bed as ever in SPG was comfortable, and we loved the long breakfast self service, with more than acceptable tasty mass prepared food. My only concern is that the kitchen area in the bedroom really is oversized as most folks would eat out and the waste of energy of the overlarge fridge is unnecessary. For an eco lodging option, the pens are friendly, the bedroom flooring socially responsible bamboo we think, and the light bulbs energy saving. The bathroom certainly reinvents hotel bathrooms well, but the shower cubicle could be smaller as it was more space than water...thus it felt cold when one was having a shower. Outside there is a pool, very well kept and I did a few lengths.....as well as ample towels and chairs/loungers.

All in all a refreshing style in the oversized Las Vegas indulgence market.

We were at this hotel for work, and the staff at the Element (particularly Claire in sales) were all incredibly helpful and accomodating in every way. The complimentary breakfast was solid, and the rooms are great! And they're a green hotel to boot. If you have to go to Vegas and want to avoid the chaos and tourists, the Element is a great choice.

The Element was a very comfortable and quiet hotel. Be prepared for a long ride to the Strip. It's about 30 minutes from the strip by taxi/shuttle. A great location if your visiting for a conference at the Red Rocks Resort and Spa. The bedroom was quiet and the room was very clean. Overall a very nice stay.

My wife and I booked this hotel because of the relatively high rating at tripadvisor. We visit Vegas twice a year for leisure and decided to give this "green" hotel a try. I can say that this hotel is best suited for some types of travelers, but not every type. It is new, clean, and modern in appearance. I have no complaints in regards to the quality of the hotel. Although our one bedroom was quite cramped. The "studio" gives you a more wide open feel.

I would highly recommend it for the business traveler since it has every accommodation and facility to support the business man/woman. Wireless internet is free and they have free fax and printing services. Very nice free breakfast buffet before heading out to the meetings.

I would also recommend this for a family traveling to Vegas for some specific event (wedding, convention,etc.). Because it has a full kitchen in every room, it will suit families with children to the tee.

I would also recommend this hotel for the buddies on a golf trip. There are so many exceptional golf courses within minutes (Red Rock Arroyo, Bear's Best, Siena). Golf buddies don't need posh accommodations, just a place to relax after 36 holes.

I would NOT recommend this hotel for the romantic getaway. Sorry to say that we couldn't find any redeeming "romantic" qualities about this hotel. It's modern appearance, makes it slightly cold. There are no restaurants in the hotel, you would need to take the 15 to 20 minute trip to the strip. But then, coming back to the element after dinner just doesn't give you that "romantic feeling".

I would likely not return to this hotel unless I was on business, going golfing only, or with my kids. Romantic getaway with the wife, No way.

Great location for my golfing needs (TPC Summerlin) 10min away.
Strip an easy drive 15min.
Great contemporary "W" style/feel to the place, rooms with full fridge/kitchen...new
Does always smell nice, any part of the hotel.
Great beds/bath
Great gym
Great DIY washing room.
Great morning breakfast's/after noon snack/s
Free internet/nice TV/DVD
Outside BBQ & pool if you don't want to smole out your room.
5 min to Red Rock Resort Casino + some restaurants.

I had a room well away from the elevators (by luck) but they do seem to make a loud noise when the door opens, so ask to be away from them.

I'll be back next year (used STARWOOD points) for this trip

Hotel is located in beautiful Summerlin. We stayed here for a friends wedding that was in LV. It is about 10-12min from the strip, located right off the 215fwy. When you walk in the hotel it smells refreshing like green tea. Very modern decor. The rooms was AMAZING!!! We stayed in the one bedroom suite. Had a full kitchen, two TVs one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I don't care to stay in hotels, but this hotel totally different! It's CLEAN, the staff is friendly, the bed is COZY!!! LOVED IT!!!I can't rave enough. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and this by far has been the best!!!! The hotel is non smoking and there isnt a casino. However, there is a great casino about 2min away in Summerlin called the Red Rock- upscale casino from what I saw in the inside. If you have kids there is a great park just one street from the hotel. They offered free hot breakfast. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, breakfast sandwhichs, burritos, toast, muffins, ceral, yougut, smoothies, juice, milk, fruit. I give this hotel ***** 5 STARS!!! Thank you Element for the wonderful experience!!!! I know we will be back soon to visit! ITs been amazing!

Element is a different kind of hotel, but different in a good way. It's the first hotel I've stayed at that seems to give serious attention to environmental consciousness and healthy living. The execution is not perfect, but it's a great start.

The hotel is easily accessible off of the freeway and has plenty of free parking. The lobby is comfortable and inviting (as opposed to ostentatious or intimidating). The front desk service is genuinely helpful. And there are nice amenities even there, too, like a service to print out your airline boarding passes.

The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed. There's a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable desk. The bathroom has a "rain shower" but no tub. if you like to collect the little bottles of bathroom amenities, you'll be disappointed; the bath is equipped with environmentally sensible soap and shampoo dispensers. The beds are VERY comfortable and the rooms are quiet, making for a good night's sleep.

There is a complimentary breakfast and an afternoon snack served in the lobby. You can also sit in the small but pleasant garden behind the lobby and eat. There is also a small pantry just off the main lobby that sells snacks and light meal ingredients at very reasonable prices.

The hotel's service orientation and standards are first rate; they show through in the housekeeping, engineering and food service departments, all of which gave me excellent attention.

If you want the glitz and glamor and excitement of the Strip, this place is not for you. But if you want some peace and quiet in a very pleasant setting, it's difficult to find fault with this property.
