I have stayed in this hotel as part of our tour itineary to las vegas and grand canyon. The stay at the hotel is very comfortable and there is no issue about the comfort. Only two points are on negative side 1) there is no coffee/tea maker in the room and for the same you have to come down to starbuck coffee shop and most of the time there is a queue at the coffee shop 2) There is no clarity about the entry fees to the tower block ,(part of the hotel only) some of my tour mates they went without any fees whereas i have paid the entry fees of aound $11 per person. Tourist who are staying here may please clarify before entering the tower block

My husband and I spent two nights at the Stratosphere in November 2009.

The hotel is lovely, comfortable and modern. The check-in was swift and efficient. We only had to wait a few minutes.

We paid extra for a strip view room, but I would advise against this. The room did have a strip view, but only if you looked out to your right. If you looked out dead ahead, you view was actually of one of the Tower's legs. It was OK, but a little disappointing.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated.

The whole casino was clean, spacious and well laid-out.

We used the Back Alley Bar to watch football on Sunday afternoon, and the service was pretty terrible. The waitress was standing chatting to a large group, without even bothering to look around to see if anyone else needed service (we were pretty much the only other people in there). My husband tried to get served at the bar, and still waited ages even though the bartender wasn't serving anyone else.

As others have said, the location is not that great, being at the far north of the Strip. One morning we decided to stroll to the main part of the Strip, and it took about 30mins to get to Treasure Island.

The room was a pretty decent rate, and unlimited admission to the Tower was included, which we used a couple of times and would throughly recommend, even if you're not staying at the Strat.

All in all, for the price we paid, the hotel was reasonable.

The stratosphere was everything we had hoped, providing nice clean cheap accommodation for our group while in Vegas. The rooms were big enough, basic but everything you need, after all we didnt spend too much time in the room. Loved the casino itself. Played for hours and hours at the blackjack tables.
The buffet was pretty crappy. From memory i think it was around $20pp. We later went to Rio's buffet and for about $25pp it was a much better option with some of the best food we ate while in the USA.
While the location is a bit far away from all the action, we had a rental car which made getting around easy and the free parking service was very easily accessed.
All in all we would definately stay again!

It was a real nice stay in stratosphere in LV. We were 4 people who started from LA at 02:00 PM and reached LV near to 7:00 PM.

We just went and got fresh in the hotel room and boom into the casino where we spent time until 6:00 AM.

It was a comfortable and soothing when we were back to room and slept for almost 5 hours before we started back to LA.

But remember what happens in Vegas stays at Vegas.
