“AWESOME!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

From fast friendly valet service, no wait friendly check-in, found Harrahs rooms from suites to standard to always be Excellent! All the service people are very friendly and helpful as well, always trying to assist in any needed manner. Restaurants/buffet are above my expectations, all types of entertainment, from piano bar-big Elvis, juggling bartenders, " top name"shows, great pool for relaxing & lounging Harrahs has it all. Size of casino is just right not too small and not to big, it doesn't take you an hour to get to your room after playing on the casino floor! Conviently located . Harrahs is the friendliest casino on the strip. Thank you Harrahs!

Room Tip: ANY, executive suites are my favorite but standard rooms are way above average!

Stayed at Harrah's for the first time after playing in their casino on different occasions and thought we should try the stay. Check-in was a very slow process with only 3 people at the desk and a very long line of people waiting. I upgraded to a premium room for $15 a night more which I believe was worth every dime. Room was nice and comfortable with a coffee pot, mini-fridge, and mini-bar (pay for items). The only down side of the room was the air conditioning. With the weather near 100 degrees, I expected the room to stay at a comfortable temperature which I could choose. After the first night of sleep at 82 degrees I called the front desk to have them look at the air conditioning. After they came and looked, they advised me that the thermostat was on a motion sensor which shut down the air conditioner when we where not in the room. Maintemance did turn this feature off and was fine the rest of our stay. Bar service in the casino was horrible. Sat a machine for 2.5 hours without a waitress asking us if we needed anything. Flagged down another waitress and was told I was not in her area and she could not serve us. Location of the hotel was great in the middle of the strip. Construction around the area was a little bit of a hassle but we managed. All and all a pretty good stay.

We stayed for three nights in August. After reading the reviews here, I was assuming this place would not be all that great. While there are definitely signs of wear and tear, for the price you pay, I thought this was a fantastic base. Check-in and check-out were both fast and reasonably efficient. The room itself was comfortable (we had booked the lowest category room). Bathroom drain didn't stopper properly, but other than that everything else was in working order.

We ate at the buffet for breakfast and dinner one of the days - overall pretty decent. There are better buffets on the Strip, but no issues. The location is great - right in the middle of the strip (we could see the Volcano erupting from our room). The casino next door (Casino Royale) has $1 beers, so you can get a quick cheap beer if you dont want to wait around on the casino floor.

All in all, I would stay here again. The price is about as good as you can get on the strip, and while it is not a luxury resort/room, it is certainly comfortable and clean

Recently stayed in a Petite Suite at Harrahs Las Vegas, and just wanted to point out that the entire hotel portion of the stay was great! Had booked a Petite Suite, which offered a bit more floor space than the traditional Harrahs Carnival room, with a couch in a small sitting area, a nice flat-screen TV, and two windows that opened for fresh air (I wish more hotels offered either windows that open, i.e. Harrahs and Mirage, or at least fresh-air vents, i.e. Venetian and THEhotel). Overall the room was very spacious, clean, fresh carpet and furnishings, and no issues with the bathroom facilities). Staff was very friendly and helpful, and although it has been several years since staying at Harrahs (past visits were just average), I will be booking here again, as the room, staff, amenities, were all exceptional.

Nice hotel, typical Vegas hotel with Casino and several eateries. NO wi-fi though which was disappointing- especially when you have to pay a resort fee which advertises Wi-Fi as one of the features. Check in was very hectic- only 2 people on the desk (which has 10 spaces!) which made it slow. Check in lady tried to give us ‘free breakfast’ which was not free (you get charged $9 per day on your credit card!) Room was comfortable, small but everything we has was there. Excellent locations- right in the heart of all the Vegas action. Close to the Bellagio and Caesars Palace. Mc Donalds right next to the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Mardi Gras tower

When we arrived Anita took great care of us and she was very friendly. When we got to the room the Internet modem was not working and there is no wifi which is very inconvenient. We called 4 times that night and nobody came up. Finally on the second day we spoke to a supervisor and the modem was finally replaced. We went down to the front desk and requested the resort few returned. The lady that assisted us was unfriendly and she seemed very agitated which in my opinion is unacceptable. We had to go back down to the front desk because there was a hold on the credit card that should not have been there. We spoke to the lead. He was very friendly and returned the resort fee for both nights being that there were several issues!

I must say that the location of the Ethernet cable is extremely inconvenient. It is located on the nightstand between the two beds so you have to plug it in and sit on the bed or stretch the cord across the bed to the table. The cord should be located near/on the table for convenience.

The bed was very comfortable and I slept well.

Right on the strip and within walking distance from everything you would ever need to see in vegas. This hotel did not have the greatest reviews, however upon arriving at Harrahs, from check in to check out we had no problems. We stayed in the newly refurbished Mardi's gras tower and the room was very clean and beautifully presented. For the 2 nights we were in Vegas for our west coast road trip we could not have wanted more. Not as posh as the Venetian or bellagio. But for a great central location, it was fantastic.
